    Feeling a little nervous

    Hi everyone,

I am feeling a little nervous as I am 16 weeks today. I am in that lull where I don't feel pg, have not really felt any movement and are just a little worried that things might not be ok. I have a m/w appointment on Wed so I hope to hear a h/b to make my fears go away.
Is anyone else feeling like this? I know that being 16 weeks may be a little too early to feel movement but I just wanna IYKWIM

    Hey jenjams

first movments can be felt from 16weeks in your first pregnancy...can feel like a butterfly in your belly, or like someone blowing bubbles

    Hey Jen

Yeah...I think it's really tough at your stage in pregnancy...you no longer feel all the pregnancy symptoms and you can't really feel the baby moving.

I didn't feel our baby move until about 20 weeks...but I think it depends upon the positioning of the placenta.

I'm sure all will be fine.

Our sonographer at our 13 week scan gave us great advice. He said "see how much the baby is moving now and you can't feel it...just remember this over the next few weeks if you start to worry". That really helped!

    Take care!

    Hi Jenjams
I know exactly how you're feeling. I felt a few tiny flutters at 16 weeks and then nothing for ages and I was worried. It's just that stage where the morning sickness is over (hopefully), you're feeling well and not quite showing enough to put your mind at ease.
I'm now 22 weeks and feel my bubba all the time, so don't stress I'm sure everything is fine, it's probably still a little early for you to feel anything!
    Take care

I totally understand! Looking back now, I had flutters but didn't know what they were... maybe stress or gas, but on our honeymoon (18wks) I felt it kick! Everyone's different. Just wait, soon enough you'll be asking it for some quiet time!

    Enjoy!

I know your stress. Iam feeling it at the moment. Its been a weeks since I have had any heavy streching, and I cant see the midwifes till another 2.5 weeks. I only have very basic symptoms left and try to keep positive on that. I asked the midwife what can be done and he said,"We can try the doopler at 16 weeks at the next appointment". It feels like 2 weeks is 2 months at the moment, I cant wait till 16 weeks. I felt my last baby move at 17 weeks.

Sorry if I came over negative, but what we are really trying to say is that we understand and its normal to worry.

Im sure we will all be fine.

Jenjams - I didn't feel any strong movement until 22.5 weeks (I felt a few little bubbles at 21.5 weeks - but I wasn't sure if I was REALLY feeling bubs move). I was worried by 22 weeks & went to see my GP. He listened with the doppler & heard a nice healthy HB. So I decided not to worry & just wait it out!!! Now I feel little regular movements throughout the day (mostly when I sit down) - but I do need to be sitting still (it's much easier to feel now that I know what the movements feel like too!!)
