    please help, bleeding

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and last night I had some bleeding after having sex. It was a fairly small amount, and I haven't had anymore overnight or this morning but I can't help but stress. I rang the midwife and she was a bit vague about it, just said to keep an eye on it and go to the GP or emergency if it starts again. Should I be worried or is this quite common? Is it a sign that I might be going to miscarry?
    Thanks for any help

It is common to have bleeding during/after sex due to the increased blood flow in that area.
With that been said tho, all bleeding should be kept an eye on, if it increases go and see your local hospital xoxox Take care

I agree, bleeding can occur after sex but just keep an eye on it and if any increased bleeding see your GP.

Im with the others...Bleeding after sex is pretty common, its because of the increased blood flow and your cervix is alot softer.

If its stopped now, I wouldnt worry about it....but if it started again and was quite heavy then go see your Dr.

The first time DH and I had sex when I first fell pg there was no bleeding but the second time there was a little bit. It all depends on your body.

try not to stress honey, but its easier said then done

I bled a fair bit after sex at 20 wks with my first baby.. I was 19 and scared crapless!!!
I went to hossy where they said it is quite common.. and after a quick scan they told me my placenta was low-lying..... it is prob nothing babe, but if you need reasurrance, go to the hossy and get them to check for you... xoxoxo
