Haha I just must be naturally scary looking without the piercings, no ever tried to touch my tum! LOL:
Haha maybe you girls should get some tattoos or piercings, nobody except my dp has tried to rub my bump, I think they are scared of me...I always hear ppl in my shop saying "that goth girls pregnant"...im not goth! Lol
I just found this thead so thought I would add to it instead of start yet another.......so I just want to say grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...............STOP touching me arrrrggggghhhhh!!!!!
I have not really popped yet, it's just flabby & I'm sick of people saying....."oh yeah, you're getting bigger" and then poking my flab!!!! LOL yeah & "oh look you have a head"....slap!!! he,he sorry a bit OTT but I'm over it.
OMG i have this problem with the MIL, one day she and FIL came over, they both came up to me and started rubbing my belly and talking to the baby!!!
i told them i don't like to be touched and they got very ****ed off about it.
when i went to work she spoke to DH about it, he said she doesn't like people touching her belly, she said but in the grandmother!!! and she's pregnant!!! of course people are going to touch her!!!
hahahahahh wel well well she aint touching my belly again ill make sure of it:Dl
It is frustrating I think people forget that it's actually still your body even though there's a baby in there all of a sudden you seem to become public property (in their minds anyway)
no one dared to touch my belly otherwise i bit there head off
Toomany - agreed!
Only two people so far have touched my belly without asking, and they are the only two people who could get away with it - they're not relatives, but special enough friends that I don't mind it.
No-one else has tried, but I wasn't really showing till recently and people we know probably think I'd be pr!ckly about it anyway, so haven't tried. They'd be right, too!!
A thing to try might be to act startled and jump back - then say it's taken you by surprise and you're feeling a bit sensitive lately...I don't think they'll be back to ask in a few weeks "are you still sensitive, can I touch", and if they are so bold as to do just that you just say "yes, it's gotten worse"!
It used to drive me nuts when random people in the shopping center used to touch me but towards the end I got nasty & said to one person "**** off do you want me to rub your belly?" and took off home in tears
Hehe I bought a shirt from Big W that says "hands off the Bump". I wore it today and someone touched me anyway :wall: I think she was a bit embarassed once she stepped back and read what my shirt said... oh well, that'll learn 'er ;)
oops. I'm one of those people who love to touch preg bellies. I always ask though. I can't help it, i find the pregnant belly to be the most beautiful thing in the world.
I used to walk around the house with a bra and shorts on and look at my belly in the mirror ALL the time when i was pregnant. I just love it.
Since i won;t be having anymore, i can only look and feel other people's bellies.
ATM, people won't touch my belly as it just look likes fat - not baby so as soon as i do look preggers even tho im 18.5weeks now i'll let you know.. can't imagine i'd like it though!
I dont remember people touching my belly much last time around...
Once I had a woman at the markets start rubbing my belly as EX-DP and I were standing there talking to her about her product, which made me uncomfortable... then she winked at my EX-DP and I just started fuming!!
I've had a few people touch my 8week belly already but not very many people. I think alot of people know that some women dont like it, so are abit more cautious these days!
It is sooooo annoying, I remember it happening to me and you kinda feel violated, but I would never have the guts to say something. I started a FB group for it, to hopefully spread the awareness LOL!!! You can join it here.
Lori that is so cool, I wonder if they still have them
:yeahthat:
My goodness, I was so set back when it first happened! My mum was with my and was as stunned as I was! I felt completely violated, I sat with my hands over my belly for the remainder of the night (we were out to dinner at the time).
No preg women's belly is public property and I only ever rub the belly of close friends after asking them if it's ok! :)
