It is frustrating I think people forget that it's actually still your body even though there's a baby in there all of a sudden you seem to become public property (in their minds anyway)

    Toomany - agreed!
Only two people so far have touched my belly without asking, and they are the only two people who could get away with it - they're not relatives, but special enough friends that I don't mind it.
No-one else has tried, but I wasn't really showing till recently and people we know probably think I'd be pr!ckly about it anyway, so haven't tried. They'd be right, too!!
A thing to try might be to act startled and jump back - then say it's taken you by surprise and you're feeling a bit sensitive lately...I don't think they'll be back to ask in a few weeks "are you still sensitive, can I touch", and if they are so bold as to do just that you just say "yes, it's gotten worse"!

It used to drive me nuts when random people in the shopping center used to touch me but towards the end I got nasty & said to one person "**** off do you want me to rub your belly?" and took off home in tears

Hehe I bought a shirt from Big W that says "hands off the Bump". I wore it today and someone touched me anyway I think she was a bit embarassed once she stepped back and read what my shirt said... oh well, that'll learn 'er
