    Protein in Urine

    Hi

    My midwife did a routine urine test yesterday, and she said I was protein positive. My blood pressure is OK which is the most important thing, but does this mean I could still be at risk of pre eclampsia?

    Bit confused! 8-[

    I also put a message for you in 2nd trimester

    Once they find protein they will keep an eye on you more just in case your BP changes.
    They found my protein at about 31-32 weeks.

    Hope you are ok Gwen!

    Protein in your urine can be an indicator of pre-eclampsia, but there are usually other symptoms present.

    I'm sure that your health care provider will make doubly sure that you are ok and monitor you very carefully.

    When I had pre-eclampsia, I had + protein in urine with DD but none with DS!! It came up on blood tests.
