Anything I can take for an energy boost?

I'm waiting for my 2nd trimester glow to arrive - maybe my Christmas present?? Not holding my breath cos I didn't get it with either of my girls but hey, a girl can dream I'm still feeling really sick and have absolutely no energy. Not great for normal day to day stuff, but we're going to Hong Kong on Sunday and I'm really worried I'm going to be stuck in my hotel room half the time with two little girls climbing the walls.

Does anyone have any magical remedy that will help with my energy levels?

    thanks.

What's your iron levels like? I was the same during my preg and it ended up I had "seriously low" iron levels. Maybe see if you can get a BT before you go away.

Thanks ladies. Will give the berocca a whirl.

helle - not sure about my iron levels but worth getting checked. Thanks. I have very low blood pressure so I know that's a contributing factor to the tiredness too. I'm so grateful to finally be pregnant with a sticky bub, but I'm missing the joy of pregnancy just at the moment.

Not sure if this helps but they say an apple is better than a cup of coffee for getting you up and going in the morning, so maybe the old 'apple a day' is worth a go?

Berocca is great, I had it on my second pregnancy with my daughter now 4 years old.

i rekon i got it without really noticing it, i kept waiting for that big kick that suddenly i had all this energy, but when you are running around after other kids etc i think your energy may boost without really noticing it! i was having freshly squeezed orange juice but now the reflux has set in i think i need to avoid that and try something else.
it was found i had really low iron when i went for my first pg blood test so i have been taking tablets ever since, if i miss a couple of days i definatly notice my energy level drop, so you never know if your iron is low you would definatley not be feeling that second trimester boost

I was going to suggest iron and vit B too. I also get a bit down and lack energy if my vit D levels get low.

I missed the pregnancy glow with DD, but this time it kicked in around 22 weeks or so. So it may still happen for you.

Thanks everyone. I managed to get a blood test before we went away and my iron levels were fine so I guess its just normal pregnancy for me. Now on restricted activity after problems while on holiday so I guess my energy boost is no longer required anyway
