    Feeling Movement

Hi, Im 18weeks and really stating to feel movement. I know this probably sounds wrong, but, everytime i feel it move, its freaks me out. It just doesnt feel right. Don't get me wrong im excited to be able to feel it but its just not what i was expecting.

Did/Does anyone else feel this way?

Maybe because its kind of like butterflies? You'll probably feel better when its strong kicks and you get used to it more.

Misty - I know I cracked up the first time I was laying in bed and I felt my lil girl kicking - felt like she was having a party in my uterus! I didnt get the butterfly flutters before the kicks. You will soon get used to it

I actually feel reassured when bubs moves/kicks cos at times bubs goes really quiet and that freaks me out!
As you get further along, you'll get big kicks, which feel 'better', not as weird

first time bubs moved - i was excited. But, sometimes, it does freak me out abit in the whole alien inside me way.
I think if i ever see a foot or something pressed against my tum, i will be partly freaked, and partly excited.

It is pretty weird when you think about it!!

Don't worry - you'll get so used to it. The funniest thing is when you can watch the movements!!

I love when the movement really kicks in which for me should be in a few weeks. i can remember with both previous pregnancies hubby and i would lay there at night and watch/feel bub move. Its like a get to know your baby time.

It can be surprising for the first few weeks though.

It's an odd feeling, but it really makes me laugh now when I can see my tummy bouncing around!
