Awww - try not to be too scared. The drs will be erring on the side of caution, and will have your best interests at heart.
I dont know much about this, but there are lots of mums who have had amnios for similar reasons, so I'm sure someone will pop in to give you their good story.
Good luck. Hopefully everything will be fine.
Hope everything goes well with your appt tomorrow.
Please try not to worry to much about the NF I'm sure your appt tomorrow will bring you some answers to any questions you may have. Also having a amnio done is not as bad as it seems. I really thought it would be awful but i am so glad i went a head and had one done.
The markers at screening are just an indication that further testing might be suggested. You don't have to have further testing if you don't want to. The doctors will ultimately leave the decision up to you. It helps a lot if you and your husband are in agreement about what to do because you will know then that you are doing the right thing for you. I don't know if that makes sense.
I hope the appointment today will give you further clarity and the chance to ask whatever questions you need to make the decision on this issue. Best of luck with everything.
Everything looked fine The nuchal fold which was measuring 8.3mm on Monday was now measuring 4mm on Wednesday. The specialist said that it was most likely an inaccurate measurment. When you're a certain way through pregnancy then the u/s wand has to be held at a specific angle to get an accurate reading. He did say the nuchal fold can be large and then reduce in size, but that's normally over several weeks, not two days.
