I have been feeling really weird for the past 24 hours. I have this pain/crampy feeling sort of just below my rib area in the middle. I feel a bit crampy and like everything is squashed. I had wondered if it was heartburn, although previous heartburn has felt quite different. It is making me feel nauseous (sp?). My whole tummy area is kind of achy and I just feel blah. I know my description is a bit all over the place so sorry!!
It could be heartburn or indegestion. I have had both for the past week, with it easing off yesterday (thank goodness as I ran out of Rennie tabs). I think bubs must have moved so it is not squashing up my insides towards my throat! The crampy part is a bit weird as I didn't have any cramping, just felt like I had food stuck in my throat and a bit hard to swallow and breathe when lying in bed.
Maybe Alan will see your post and have some other reason.......
Thanks. Thats kind of what I thought it might be. I must admit (naughty me) I havent been eating all that well lately and wondered if that was making me feel this way. The crampy feeings are not down low or anything are kind of up high also under ribs. I have tried rennies and I dont think ???? they are doing anything. What ever it is I hope it passes soon.
Acid reflux maybe? Many years ago (when I wasn't pregnant) I had similar symptoms that I ended up seeing a specialist for. After every test the could possibly do (including a barium swallow, an ultrasound and an edoscopy) it turned out to be just really bad acid reflux. The medications they gave me didn't help but I did a food diary and found out what triggered it and am fine if I avoid the triggers.
This is exactly how I feel right now!!! I think it's just things adjusting to all the squashing too. I'm trying to eat smaller meals more often, as my tummy gets too full if I have a big meal.
Hi, I get this too. I found with my oldest that Rennie didn't relieve any of my heartburn so my GP suggested Gaviscon. It worked in under 5 minutes. This time I haven't bothered with Rennie and haven't had really bad heartburn again so might be worth asking your MW or OB what they think.
