With dd they started at 24 weeks, this pg I had some in the first trimester! Nothing to worry about unless they're painful and regular (like every five mins). Maybe note what sets them off...for me it's lots of bending over and carrying dd.

I found the bh more frequent and intense all through this pg, Especially during/after sex.

Mine started early, around 16 weeks. Just tell your midwife/OB at your next appointment.

With this last pg, I was feeling some around 14ish weeks. I have heard that you can often have them this early or earlier and just not feeling them much, and that's normal.

Around the atrt of 2nd tri for 1st pregnancy for me.

This time...nothing until well into 3rd tri...and even then, I've only noticed them two or three times. Very seldom.

I'm having tightenings...wouldn't really call them BH just yet, but they come & go especially after exercise or housework. I'm 22 weeks and have been noticing them for a few weeks now so from around 18~19 weeks.

I didn't have any with my first 2 pregnancies but this one I've noticed BHs since 15weeks. They have only got painful from 34weeks to the day and now if I hadn't had them for so long I'd think labour was starting.

I had them since 16 weeks. My Ob was reluctant to define them as BH. But definitely "uterine contractions without cervical softening" which is the definition of a BH anyway!

minniemouse, I'm encouraged that you had so many, I've worried mine are too frequent. Nothing painful or breathtaking yet though, although the bigger my bump gets, the stronger I feel them!

I get more when I'm leaning back and feeling for bubs to kick. Its like my uterus knows its getting attention and decides to perform!
