    Sharp pains

Just wondering if anyone else has or had this: I've got horrible pain that kinda taking breath away a bit down above my pubic hair line and to right well in that area... Also have pain in by back on the same right side.

Is it just growing pains? The baby is tansverse and hiding up under ribs so I didn't think that it was pushing on a nerve. Anyway just wondering what you think and any suggestions what to do to relieve it??

I had some truly magnificent round ligament pains that were always on the right side. Maybe you can google that term and see if the symptoms fit you, but if you are concerned give a professional a call and at least set your mind at ease or find out if you need to be checked.

Do you know bub's position? I know their head bouncing on the cervix can cause some sharp breathtaking pains here and there.
You also will be running out of room, so as Crystal says, the muscles and ligaments will be starting to give.
It's worth mentioning to your midwife/ob anyway, they might be able to suggest some ways to alleviate the discomfort...unfortunately your general comfort level will decrease from here on in...on the bright side, that's the element that will make you go 'oh thank goodness!' when you go into labour.
    All the best.

Ive also been getting sharp pains in that region, I spoke to my midwife today and she said it was just bubs head getting down there. Its not nice and can be quite painful! Mine is situated in the middle and I dont have any other pains that go with it, so if your still worried a quick call wouldnt hurt to ease the mind
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy

CrystalBoo - I had a look at the round ligament pains and that might be what's happening.

Nelle - yes baby is transverse so head is to my right side and sometimes pushing up under my ribs.

    RhiaMaree - You poor thing!

I think you're all right its just part of the "getting huge" phase hahaa Pains have subsided this morning - fingers crossed they stay at bay. Thanks for your replies

Have you seen a physio? Usually one attached to your hospt womens area or just see one privately for an assesment. It could be your pelvis/hips loosening up a bit too much. Mine are and I am seeing a physio weekly for massage and stretching and I also wear a brace around my hips to keep them together until the birth.

    It has helped a lot.

Also, pelvic floor exercises are great to ease the pain by strengthening the muscle in the area and giving you more support. Try doing those each time you are at a red stop light, each time you brush your teeth or put on the kettle...
