    another EPO/RLT question

    Hey all

I am 37w pregnant and was wondering if I should scale up the amount of EPO/RLT (tablet) I am taking?

I am currently taking 3 RLT daily, 3 EPO orally and 3 EPO inserted.

My window for VBAC is quickly closing and wanted to give it everything I can to ensure I go into labour naturally.

    TIA
    Mel

Hi, I've been researching this lately too. Are you drinking RL tea or taking the tabs? If you google it tells you what the recommended dose is so you'll have to work out what mg you are taking in (depends on the brand) and then see if you can up it. I've just started taking 2 tablets/day which is what the bottle says (Herbs of Gold) but from memory from last time the total allowable/recommended was more than this so I upped my dosage towards the end.

Also - hope you don't mind me asking, what do you mean that your window for VBAC is running out. Do you mean you are worried you are running out of time? I'm hoping for a VBAC this time and that's my fear too AND my baby is breech still.

Thanks for replying I will check again online with the dosages. I am taking tablets

With the VBAC, I had my OB appointment today and he is getting really nervous about my chances of a VBAC as apparently it's a 'big' baby. I also have GD so that makes everyone freak out with the big baby thing as well He basically said he will not induce me and the best he will do is a S&S maybe next week.

Hubbie is also putting his foot down for induction so the best I can hope for is going into labour myself between now and next tuesday then see how we go. I am pretty certain the OB expects me to go through the labour but have to have a c-section anyway due to that fact I won't be able to push the baby out cause of the size

sigh. It's just getting all too hard

Don't give up yet hun, it's soooo not over.

I have also been told by the Ob - no way to induction because of the risk of scar rupture. I fell preg 6 months after my CS. So I am worried about running out of time too. My Ob also did the "big baby" talk as DD was apparently big for my size. I know she was bigger than he expected. Have you had a sizing scan? I know they are plus or minus 20% but might be worthwhile? A girlfriend of mine had one and it was spot on but she did have the baby on the due date. My biggest fear is going through labour and then having to have a CS anyway.

You're 37 weeks so still 3 good weeks to go before even considering worrying. Are you doing lots of walking and bouncing on the fitball etc etc?
