Babe engaging early/ier in subsequent pregnancies

Hello! So I know that it is common for subsequent babies to engage much later in the pregnancy or not until active labour, or to sort of move up and down a bit. I'm 35 and a bit along with babe #2 and while at my check up a week ago she was not partially or starting to engage she was down 'nice and low'. Since then I've been getting signs (they were signs with DD the first time around) that maybe she is moving further southward again - sharp, fleeting cramp like stabs of pain in my inner upper thighs, right near my groin; going to the toilet a lot at night again, each time with a very full bladder; very strong period type tension (not BH or even contraction like as it does not come and go but remains for long periods at a time); and a feeling of pressure in my bottom/rectal area.

I guess I am just curious if anyone else had earlier engaging bubs in a subsequent pregnancy. I'm not anxious about due dates as DD was fully engaged very early but then was 5 days over. Just curious more than anything!

My first never engaged until my water broke in hospital. My second engaged quite early, 30ish weeks from memory. I expected him to move up and down but he stayed locked and loaded! I had lots of prelabour before he arrived about 10 days early.

First didn't get past 4/5 until 41 weeks, and even then was at 3/5 right up until active labour.

Second was at 3/5 at 39 weeks, 2/5 at 41.5, born at 42.

But nothing about out family is common...

Thanks girls. The other sign I've had is the easing of what had been intense sacroiliac pain/weakness. I couldn't even stand on a hard surface for more than 10 minutes without the pain kicking in and me walking with the opposite hip swinging wildly out to the side. But all of a sudden it's gone.

Had a check up today, she has not started to engage but is really low, so low that my OB couldn't properly measure the circumference of her head with the scanner.
