    Baby dropped?

I am 28.6 weeks and since last night I seem to have a baby sitting on my bladder. My pelvis is extrememly painfull and when she moves I can feel her little arms and hands almost at my hip bone! I remember this feeling with my first child in the last 3 weeks but can she drop down so early? Has anyone else had their baby drop so early in the pregnancy or is she just getting bigger and changing positions?

It is really hard to give you any kind of answer for this. Your ob or midwife would be able to let you know by feeling the baby. Sometimes babies move up and down in their positioning. As you said she may have moved positions making everything feel different. Occasionally I feel like I have extra breath as the babies drop, but then they move up again.

Dont worry too much, babies can engage early and not be any closer to labour than those babies that engage at the last minute.

    All the best.

My bub dropped down the night before he hit 28 weeks, and he's been sitting down there ever since. The elbows digging into the hips and fists in the blader can be very annoying.

Talk to your ob or widwife, they'll know for sure.

Everytime I visit my Obs he shows me where bump is sitting and he is always up side down and head in my pelvis. His feet are in my right ribs and that is begining to get quiet sore. I think my boy loves being upside down. But then again I am only little and he probably has no choice. I hope this means he will be engaged when the time comes and we will not have any problems.
