Here's hoping smooth sailing again. They say that they are suppose to be quicker the more you have.... Who knows what will happen.... Anyone else due on this date?? Safe Journey's ladies ...

Thanks for the warm wishes ladies. Now as for the experiences -- the first was a blurr to be honest.... Except for the pain...thats something you don't forget really. I had a 5 hour journey with both my girls. I am so blessed that the first was short and sweet. 15 years ago I had my first girl. It was the same year I lost my mother. A very trying time for me indeed. I lost my mother when I was 4 months pregnant. She got to see one of my ultrasound images when she was in hospital and I am thankful for that too. She was happy to see it. So anyway, I gave birth to my eldest 5 months later. She was due on my 21st birthday, but decided to wait a week and not to come so I had to be induced. I also had high blood pressure too. I can only remember drifting in and out of the birth really with her. I think my emotions were all over the place with what I had been through and also knowing that my mother was not there for it all was a bit on my mind too. I didn't have any trouble really with the birth. My husband reminded me that I did scratch the heck out of his arm too. hehe. I had long nails too that day! lol...I used pethedine and the gas for it. Did really well I must say coz I never had any stitches with that one. But I did get a graze... Every so often I get a reminder of it too. Sometimes the scar will stretch and ache, especially at that time of the month. I can remember one thing after I had my girl to and that was when I went to breastfeed her for the first time, being all new to me, I never thought it would be so hard. I couldn't get her to take to the breast. I tried and tried, before I knew it, I was sobbing my heart out and the nurse decided to give me and bub a break for the night. She gave her a bottle throughout the night. I think my emotions were running wild with me because I was missing my mother. I can recall really sobbing badly like a child that lost their toy. I never knew anything about baby blues then, but I think I had a touch of it there that night in the hospital. I was fine the next day and tried to breastfeed again. She wasn't taking to it very well also because I was a bit stressed still. So she was a bottlefed babe. I did try at home every so often, but with no luck. She turned out to be a great chick anyway. I am proud of who she is. With my last one, I can remember every movement of her journey. I also just used gas and pethedine. I did get 4 stitches with her though. I remember going through the motions of breathing and feeling every movement of her journey decending down. It was a wonderful experience as though I was lifted above clouds. Maybe I was sucking so hard on the gas, it was making me high! LOL As long as I had my breathing in order I was fine. My 2 girls have different fathers to by the way. Second husband had his first experience of child birth with our little girl and I got him to cut the cord. I am very close to my youngest one. We waited 5 yrs to have her. So her journey to us was a long one. Both my girls are special to me really because they are my strength when I am hard done by. My first one has the strength of my mother with her and the younger one has the strength of a free spirit. She is a Gemini. Eldest is Leo like me. So there you have it. All worth it in the end. I had hyper emmesis with both my girls in the early stages of the pregnancies and was in and out of hospital for the first 5 - 6 months. GD with the second and colestasis with the second. I have GD & colestasis with this one too. So like I said all worth it in the end. Hoping this one will be short and sweet too. If bub comes within the 5 hour time span and makes the record of 4 hours....it will be read as this... 4hrs(birth),on the 5th(day), 6th(month) of the 07 (year) ....so we have 4 - 5 - 6 - 7. Interesting isn't it...hehehe Have a great day ladies...
