Question Dental Work and TMJ Symptoms when Pregnant

Has anyone else had dental work when pregnant and had a sore aching jaw and tension headaches for weeks after?
Think is because I had to have my mouth open so long and with the relaxin loosening everything has played havoc with my jaw, head and neck!!!
Going on 4 days now. Have had root canals in the past and much more extensive dental work and not had the jaw pain, pre-pregnancy.
Anyone else experience similar? Is quite unnerving.....

I can thoroughly sympathise - I had a tooth pulled Thursday, it's now Tuesday and my jaw still hurts. Went back to the dentist and he said it's all healing fine, just my jawbone was quite stressed because it was a difficult tooth.

isnt it the pits!!! ??? normally after dental work i would be fine in a day or 2, since being preggies it seems to take a week or two to recover!

I'm still on flipping painkillers! Ok, the doses are slowly reducing and I'm managing on ordinary panadol/panadeine depending on how bad it is, rather than the panadeine forte the Dr gave me to get me through the worst of it. But I'm soooooooooooo sick of it hurting!
