Did you have signs before labour started?

I am due today, but have not had any real signs that anything is going to happen any time soon. I actually feel quite good. Slept well and just pottering around the house.
Can you go from having zero signs to contractions in one day? Is it possible it could still happen today/tomorrow? I just want her here!

In my two natural labours I didn't have any sign that anything was going to happen, no plug or anything until contractions started.

No signs with either of mine, just woke up at my regular morning time to contractions.

No signs at all. Woke up with contractions with DS (@ 41+4) & thought "hmm that's different". With DD (@ 41 weeks), I was sitting on the couch feeling annoyed that nothing was happening when all of a sudden my waters broke & she arrived just over 2 hours later.

Well, that makes me feel better! I am getting impatient and nervous at the same time. I just want to meet her Argh! Hopefully by the end of the week she will make an appearance!

My first two were c-sections, and I didn't go into labour with either of them (not even the 42-weeker!) so I didn't know what to expect with my third baby. It wasn't until I had a huge meltdown at midnight when I was 12 days overdue that I thought something might be close - I woke up to a contraction 5 hours later at 5am.

With my 4th baby (2nd labour) I was really emotional the day before and kept crying and stuff (I was 10 days over though so pretty sick of being pregnant) and then again, woke up to a contraction the next morning at 5am.

So it seems my "Sign" of impending labour is crying and throwing a tanty pmsl

With my first, I had been sitting in bed crying about not being in labour when I felt wet and jumped out of bed to find I had had a bloody show. Then I had absolutely nothing all day until 7pm when my contractions suddenly started at 15 mins apart.

With my second I had lots of pre labour and my waters even broke the day before I actually had him. I then had no signs of labour until 10pm when contractions started at about 10 mins apart and I gave birth about 2.5 hours later.

I had signs. We had checked my cervix earlier in the week(monday) and DTD(Tuesday). A few days later my cervix was flatter, softer and much harder to find. DD was born late Thursday night after my waters broke 26 hours before.

With my girls, I hadn't felt any BH, pre labour, hadn't lost a skerrick of my plug or anything but my waters broke with a giant big torrent. I had a c section after that though cos they were both breach.

No signs for me. Although when I look back I remember I got up and straightened my hair, went and bought a few things I felt DH would need when I was gone and I felt very calm and relaxed. That night my water broke.
The days leading up to feeling calm I was cranky over it and impatient!

I had no signs with DD1. Had a few niggles while snoozing at 6am then my waters broke at 7.15 ish and it was on

I lost my plug over a few days after a stretch and sweep at 38 weeks with DD2. On her birthday, I lost a lot of plug in the morning then felt fabulous and went for a walk, caught up with the family and prepared to go to a Christmas gathering that evening. My waters broke in the afternoon while I was vacuuming but contraction didn't start til almost 3 hours later.

Yep for my first, I too felt great! No signs or thoughts of labour, not even feeling 'over it'. I woke up in the morning to a popping sensation, stood up and my waters literally started gushing all over the floor any moment now! Good luck!

    Thanks ladies
I actually feel quite good today. Minimum pain, even took the dogs for a long walk and I was still alive! Just been hanging around waiting, still feeling pretty good. I'll be happy if it's before the end of the week.
