    Question Does anyone know??????

    Im 33weeks.
Yesterday morning when i went to the loo and wiped there was blood streaked mucous (Sorry TMI). I have been having cramps for the last week. The next 6-7 times i went to the loo and wiped there was still some blood streaked mucous. I eventually called the midwives last night and they asked me to come in so they could check. Bubbs heartbeat was good but it was showing i was having mild contractions. The dr did a internal and said the cervix is still closed but there is blood on it.

She spoke to her boss to see if he wanted to stop the contractions or to let me go and keep an eye on it. Because the cervix is still closed and the contractions were mild they decided to let me go home and advised me to keep an eye on the mucous and cramps and if they get worse come back.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do you think this could go on for the next 7ish weeks or do you think i'll end up going early?

    Sorry its long.

Thanks Danielle, Yeah there has been a bit of blood this morning, but the OB said because of the internal it might mess things up a bit so im putting it down to that. I had a couple of painful cramps over night but seems to have settled down a bit now.

    Hi Misty,

I'm not sure either but I wanted to say good luck and maybe you could give the hospital a call and ask a few questions or ask at your next hospital appt.

Another good luck, I know I would find it hard in your situation, I wouldn't be able to think of anything else! Either way won't be long and you'll meet your bub!

    Hi Misty
A small amount of blood like you describe can be caused by many things including sex, heavy lifting, physical exercise, internals, and sometime we don’t know what causes them. You did the right thing by getting it checked.
The mild contractions could be BH contractions which is normal and your bodies way of preparing for birth. It is not uncommon for this type of contraction to start even earlier in pregnancy than your 33 weeks. Keep an eye on your bleeding and if it oes not stop tomorrow then perhaps it would be a good idea to go back to the hospital
