    engaging baby

    Hi!
I know a lots been discussed re natural induction techniques (RLT, acupuncture, walking, sex etc) but i'm wondering if anyone knows what specifically can help baby engage naturally? I'm guessing walking would help? Any other suggestions??

I can't remember where... but i heard that walking up and down stairs does it! .... which would explain my bubs head is ALWAYS sitting on my bits!...i have to go up 20 steps to get in/out of the house!!

    squatting,
or if you cant get all the way down...then semi squat on a chair (face towards the backof the chair and lean forward into the back rest)

and any position that encourages an anterior tilt of the pelvis and opening of the pelvic cavity

yep fit balls or exercise balls or birth balls are great as they encourage great posture and a forward tilt of the pelvis...

they are also good for pelvic floor tone, as when you are sitting on one you tend to hold the torso upright and draw the navel in (and in doing so, lift the pelvic floor)
