How many EPO tablets is it safe to take orally?

Reported symptoms of a evening primrose overdose have included loose stools and abdominal pain. Reported overdoses have not been life-threatening.

but there was nothing saying how much an overdose is??

I know I was taking about 3 or 4 a day. Could have even been 2 at 3 times a day, but that was not while I was pg, that was medically advised by a breast specialist when I had a lump in my breast that was related to my cycles or something. I can't remember exactly but I know it seemed to be alot, because I was going threw the bottle rather fast & they were expensive.

Is this for natural induction? The regime I have used is 2 tablets orally twice daily and 2 tablets vaginally twice a day. If this is for induction that is! Just remember if it is not to insert the tablets vaginally if your membranes have ruptured or you think they may have and be scrupulous with handwashing of course...

The BB natural induction methods article says 2-3 500mg orally and 2-3 otherly each night... but check what size your capsules are - mine are 1000mg not 500mg...

According to mims, (a book on drug info used by most DR's and nurses) the normal dose is 1 1000 mg caps 3 times a day or 2 500 mg cap 3 times a day

Thanks Alan!!! I've been having 2 nightly to start preparing this week, so maybe next week I'll do morning & night and then three times daily.

Just to let people know I've seen EPO tablets (1000mg) in the Amcal catelogue this week for half price. About $13 for 200 tabs. Not sure if that is cheap or not, but I thought I'd pop along and get some - just in case

Yep Fi, that's cheap....I just paid $12.95 for 80 capsules.....maybe I will buy some for the next pregnancy!
