You were the one who gave me the idea Mel. I remember reading that you'd brought it, and I've been thinking about it for a while now. lol. I know I've left it pretty late, but I figure it'll be better than not at all. And I'll get the most chance to use it towards the end anyway as I'll be finished work, and DD will still have a few days a week in daycare until i'm settled with the new bub a bit more.
Hi m2b - it's a home study hypnotherapy course to assist in preparation for labour. The idea (this is my totally basic understanding of it, lol) is to be able to use your mind and thoughts to assist you through labour (i.e. positive thoughts, meditation, hypnosis).
Someone who already has it (Mel?) might be able to give a bit more info. Or, if you google it you can go and check out their web page. HTH!
Fantstic! I have a different book but I did hypnobirthing and it really helped me. my dh recorded our own rainbow relaxation with dh's voice and our own words and I listened to it every night. I loved the breathing too and I think the whole thing really helped me and I had the most wonderful birth ever! Quick, completely natural including the birth of the placenta, no internals and I had ds in the water. Perfect!
