    Hiccups and other things

    Hi gals (and Alan)
Almost 33 weeks now, in the last couple of days have noticed less movement (not none but just less) admittedly I have been alot more tired than usual.
The other thing I have noticed is the young man gets the hiccups at least 2 to 3 times a day sometimes more.
Stupidly googled it - one of the articles suggested frequent hiccups later in the pregnancy could be a symptom of problems with the cord (a tangle or something like that).
I am booked to see my ob on Wednesday will it be ok for me to wait until then to raise it or should I look at ringing the midwives at the hospital to have it checked out before then?
    Cheers
    B.

I don't want to tell you one thing, then it turns out that it may be the tangle thing, but DD used to get the all the time too, when I was pregnant with her. I loved it, made me laugh everytime, but importantly she is just perfect, nothing wrong with her now. They did continue after she was born too, which I found fascinating.
Hope all is o.k. though. If it were me, I'd just wait and tell them at your next app. But that is just me

    Hi,

My DS used to get the hiccups all the time too... I never heard of the cord problem, but was told that he would get the hiccups quite a lot as a baby and would suffer with colic, both of which are true??

I hope that everything works out well, all I can say if you are worried about slowing of movement though,go and ge tit checked, I was monitored 4 times in my pregnancy as Tyron's movements slowed or stopped, it just gives you great peace of mind!!

I love Zyon's hiccups.. iT gives Maddy a chance to lay near me & interact with her brother she giggles & talks to him about them... I never heard about the cord, both girls had hiccups too!!!

Jellybean gets them all the time - 2 time already today (at the moment actually).
Its worrying what you find on google. My friends have said that there bubs get them all the time too and I heard it was a good sign, a sign that the lungs are developing.

Would like to hear Alan's thoughts though???

Millie-Willie tends to get them at least twice a day, usually when I'm eating or just after I've eaten. As for the movements, they do tend to slow down towards the end as the baby has less room to move. I don't feel much kicking anymore. Just like little hands right down low and his/her bum pokes away and sways around. If you're worried there's no harm in being monitored but I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Many babys have hiccups a few times a day and dont have any problems with the cord
