I went and saw the diabities lady today and she had the results faxed to her and she said my levels for GD are very high. She has given me a ***** test thing (whatever they're called) and I have to test before and after meals 3 times a day, six time a day total and write in into a book, when I go to the Doctors on Wednesday then I can show him that and go from there. If I can keep the levels down through diet all well and good and if I can't then I'll be visiting the high risk clinic and they will put me on insulin.
I'm not as worried by it all now that I know what is going on, I'm pretty sure I can deal with it as I go.
Well that's were I'm up to with my GD dramas, take care all.
I have to see the dietition tomrrow and he'll be giving me a meal plan to follow, it will be low fat, low salt, low sugar and very controlled by the sounds of it, it pretty much cancels out any food that I might get a craving for I guess when it comes down to it, it's only 10 weeks and I'll just have to deal with it. At least they caught it now, when I actually have time to make my levels a bit better for both myself and the baby. Maybe this baby will be a more normal size them my others (10p13, 10p4 and 10p14) With my first they found out that I had it at 35 weeks, too late to really do anything and with the next two they didn't pick up on it, so maybe I developed it after the test for it.
I'm hoping to at least get this baby weighing between the 9 - 10 pound range!
