You've already had lots of great advice. You definitely deserve to take a break and have some time to yourself and DS before the new addition. If you do decide to stay on it sounds to me like you should ask for a big raise since you're doing them such a massive favour!
Honestly? Knowing what you've been through during this pregnancy, it's time to put your feet up.
When I was working, I took on a new role at work in July and then two weeks later I found I was pregnant with DD. My boss knew I was TTC and was happy for me to continue learning the new role. In the November, we employed someone to take over from me. I wanted to finish up at Christmas. I was convinced to stay on through Christmas and leave a couple of weeks into January so I could train the new person. The week I was supposed to leave, she quit. So my new leaving date was revised to six weeks later, giving us time to train two new staff members to take over from me. I trained both of them, and then left. I ended up having less than three weeks at home getting ready before DD arrived.
But because I was on good terms with my boss, I did it. I didn't want to, but knew yep, the money was going to be good and I still felt okay. But then DD arrived and I was exhausted. About a month after she was born, one of the replacements quit. And he was holding the more important role. So I was called and with DD in tow, went in to train the other replacement. It sucked. But because I'd shown my willingness to stay on whilst pregnant, it bit me in the butt. When I wanted to stay home with my new baby, I had to put her in the pram and train someone in a job that I wasn't returning to, and I didn't want to do it. But because I liked my boss and wanted to stay on good terms, I did it. But I wish I had left when we'd originally agreed on.
Update - after a horrible night and struggling to get out of bed, I dragged my bum into work and told both my bosses I would be leaving this Friday as planned and I would not be doing full time hours to ensure other staff are trained up. I've written a 50+ page manual on how to do my job, and am updating it. I'm trying to fix outstanding issues but I won't be stressing about it.
My boss said good, she is glad I'm not staying on - not because she wants to see me go but she now hopes people will pull their fingers out and step up! I've done 12 months of hard slog and proven my worth so it's time to think of me :)

Been reading but not posting, however I want to say I am glad you are finishing up now. Sounds like you really need to rest and take it easy before bubs is born. You have done your workplace a massive favour by staying on. I hope you enjoy your last week of work as best you can & start to enjoy the lead up to when your baby is born.

Is it wrong to chuck a sickie for the next 2 days!!! After the crap I put up with today theyre lucky I'm going back at all (and I would only be to collect my belongings and forward some personal emails)
I know it's month end at work and everyone's under pressure but sheesh! It's about time other people step up and stop being babies. I agreed to 4-5 hrs per day but today I didn't have lunch because I was leaving at 1pm. I told my boss at 2.15pm enough was enough and I was going. Someone would have to figure it out (and I walked out!!!)
In fact I think it's expected that pregnant ladies chuck sickies in the last week :)
No lunch, that's NAUGHTY. did last nights lectures teach u nothing about looking after yourself first??
Work your 4-5 hours, take a break every hour for 5-10 mins, which is what you're supposed to do if you are in front of a computer for any length of time. Go for a walk around, blame baby on bladder if you must. Take your lunch break.
Do what you need to do, do not go over and above what you need to deliver by Friday.
Blame baby brain & baby exhaustion ;)

I was planning on grabbing lunch with my daughter (she is stuck at vacation care this week) hence no eating at wok (so plan was to leave 12.30-1)
So peeved off! I think they're over preggo people - I will be the third in 8 months lol.
Oh well, sucks to be them when I don't go in! Totally decided now. Will be relaxing at home tomorrow and having some me time!
Just told the boss I'm not going in today!!!! Felt so good. Now back to sleep lol
:-) Make sure you eat lunch/take your break. It is the law that you have to have breaks when you have been working for a certain time.
