Your all gonna think i'm an idiot. I actually didn't go back in to hosp. I thought i would just see how the pain progressed as i can still feel her moving around lots. the contractions are irregular still very painful but still all over the place, all i have between them is a constant ache in my groin. I will ring my OB today and have a chat with him about it. We still don't know if it was my waters breaking. I have no idea why i heard a pop before the small gush but i haven't had anything loss of fluid besides discharge since then.
My bags are packed and i tried to get a good nights sleep (which was not really that easy) so i am just waiting to see how things progress. I don't want to freak anyone out if it's not anything. My hubby went to work, but he can come straight away if i need him.

Ive heard a hind water leak can heal itself, but Im not sure.
At 32 weeks, you need to put all thought of being a botherout of you mind. You need to freak people out so that you can get a proper idea of what has happened.

I am glad you have a few things organised and I hope you can speak to your OB early this morning, are you feeling more pressure, is is getting more difficult to walk etc? Keep resting up and keep the pressure off your cervix as much as possible and hopefully things settle, but I would be still considering going back in to check to see if they are ctx or BH's, sometimes mums can have ctx that also don't register on a CTG. If anything changes, increasing pain, more regularity of the ctx go in, don't hesitate, but hopefully your OB can see you today
A seriously don't worry if you ahev to go in four or five times to get checked, it is much better to be checked than not :comfort:
-
I hope i can get in to see him. I just feel so confused.
Pandora you are right i am feeling bothersome. I actually feel like the midwives and my ob don't think at all that it's my waters cos it's so early. I know they try not to but they give you this kind of look like "really" but then this voice inside my head is saying Don't be silly better to be safe than sorry.
-
Oh hun
Go through everything with him, the pop and gush, the dropping significantly lower, the ctx, the pain, anything that you are going through that indicates this could be pre term labour. I am so sorry that you are not getting the support you need :comfort:
You an not being bothersome at all, you just want to make sure that this is normal and not something else. Reinforce to your OB that you are concerned and you just need to ensure that it is all ok. Take care hun and I hope today brings better support for you xxoo

Thanks Beema,
You guys have been really great i dont think i would have made it through the last 24 hours sane if it wasn't for everyone on here. I read your birth story and wow...
I just almost wish it was more clear cut. I guess i am naturally such a detailed person i just feel like i am neither coming or going.
Hopefully ob will just do a swab for me today that would be great then we'll know for sure.

Hi Mrs Hendo.
I hope bubs is behaving and you're not in actual labour! I went into my GP last week, and told her that I had damp undies for the last few weeks, which I know wasn't discharge, or urine, and it had no smell...she said it was probably my forewaters leaking and because I have been having strong BH contractions that bubs might actually come early. She thinks around 38ish weeks. My last DS was 10 days over, so who knows. But if it was a pop, it was your waters, but it might only be your forewaters....but see if your OB will do an internal (as much as they are uncomfortable) just to check to make sure your cervix is still closed!
Good Luck!

Id be demanding a swab. You are paying for a service (whether through PHI or thru taxes if you are going public) - this is the safety of your bub we are talking about.
If it is a leak you may need ABs too. Its not something to mess about with. If you are more assertive with what you want they may be more inclined to agree.
Im speaking form experience (different issue) I had to go in for monitoring multiple times with my first pregnancy.
I got all the first time mum looks and comments, but you know what I also got my healthy little boy.
First time mums can have complications, pre terms labours etc too, and you absolutely have to go with your gut on this.
-
sending you lots of hugs  and hoping like mad that you get some good support and answers as to the what/where and whyfores of what's going on with bubs. from an outside perspective it does sound like there are things happening and a swab might be able to rule out at least one possibility.
goodluck with it all today, you are strong and they much prefer you to call a million times and for it to be nothing than not call and it be something itms.

Honey, I know it can be hard to challenge the system, but if your hospital caregivers are not treating this with all due caution they are not doing their jobs right. You're 32 weeks pregnant. You're having contractions and there's a good possibility you've had a hind leak.
Rather than treating it as though everything is OK (which it probably is) and just waiting and seeing, at this stage of the pregnancy they should be taking the precautions they would take if you have had a hind leak and that you are in early labour. Ask your OB what he thinks of prophylactic ABs to counter infection if they cannot confirm that it wasn't a leak. If your leak was nearly 24 hours ago and you've had a lot of discharge since then, residual amniotic fluid may not register on a swab at this stage, so it's something to consider.
I'm not trying to panic you - but it concerns me that your hospital is not doing more to monitor your situation. I had a suspected hind leak much later in my last pregnancy (at nearly 36 weeks), and they treated it much more seriously, even though I was nearly at term. At the very least they should be putting your mind at ease that everything is OK, so don't feel shy about expecting them to do their jobs.
