It could be increased CM making you feel so wet?
I know with DD2 i had a slow leak and didnt realise it until she was born when no waters came out (or very little) and the middy said i must have been leaking for a while.
Everytime I go to the loo my underwear is wet. ATM I am feeling constantly wet down there. Sorry TMI I know !!
So can your waters leak like a slow trickle ??
Im currently 37wks BTW

this happened to my sister slow leak just thought she was wetting herself, but if fact it was her waters leaking...
give you hospital a call and let them know its going on....
GL
is it thick wetness or watery wetness?
Definately a watery wetness. No CM on the undies but when I wipe yes there is still CM there.
It's such a small amount tho - probably the size of a fifty cent piece. I have changed undies three times already today....
Thanks ladies.
JG - soooo happy for you love...looks like it might be action stations for you soon!Wishing you a blessed birthing experience!
Hi hun,I would be going into the hospital, there`s a swab test they can do if it turns out blue your waters are leaking, good luck, but do get it checked though,it can be dangerous for the baby to have no amniotic fluid.
I thought this was normal? I have had to wear a liner and change about 2-3 times a day since I was about 20 wks (I'm now 30 wks). Now I am a bit worried. My 'leak' is pretty watery but if I don't wear a liner it does dry to white on my undies most of the time (sorry TMI).
I have had checks with my OB during this time but have never mentioned it as I just thought it was increased CM. Could it be something else? Coincidentally I am going to see my OB today and was wondering whether to mention it... What do you all think??
Just came back from OB and he did a quick internal examination. He said my discharge was definitely CM and not amnio fluid as he could see that it was milky white. He just said that with some people like me it is very thin so by the time I see it I think it is clear but it's not. He said for some people it's heavier than for others and starts earlier (once again, like me).
Megsy I am like you. lots of extra watery cm. this has happened from about 14wks in all my pg, and although not very pleasant, quite normal.
I had kind of watery CM with DS on & off, but I could tell it was CM. (It dried white)
Does it seem like there's more when you change positions, or walk around?
I'd maybe get it tested, just so you know, but I wouldn't worry too much. If it is your waters & they leak for more than 24 hours with nothing else they like to keep an eye on you.
Im pretty sure your body keeps making amniotic fluid right up until the bubs is born (or possibly until the placenta is born) and is replaced every 12-24 hours. Otherwise there would be a huge amount of emergencies with women whose waters break in a gush. So I wouldnt worry too much about bubs not having enough fluidmummy of many Hi hun,I would be going into the hospital, there`s a swab test they can do if it turns out blue your waters are leaking, good luck, but do get it checked though,it can be dangerous for the baby to have no amniotic fluid.
a slow leak can be a problem if amniotic fluid falls below a certain level - a friend had to spend the last 10 weeks of her pg in hospital due to leaking waters, another delivered her bub at 25.5 weeks for same thing
it's better to be checked and reassured, than to leave it and find out it is a problem - my understanding is the swab test is really simple, and if it does show positive for amniotic fluid, they can scan you to make sure you still have significant enough fluid for the baby to stay safe.
i'm definitely one for playing it safe having seen the impact of these situations for my friends. i have had a fairly high amount of what i believe to be CM, but have appt tomorrow and will be getting it checked just in case....
Yeah I do know someone who lost her bub at 37 wks due to leaking waters & not realising.
That was a long time ago though, things are different these days!
Sounds like leaking waters to me, I had baby no 4 in Sept and still was'nt 100% sure, because it was just a bit wet. When they did test to see if it was, there was no mistaking, cause it definately ruptured them further. (started to gush) All okay if you are term!!! Good luck and I hope things have gone smoothly for you, I am going to have a look at birth annoucements now!!!![]()
Thanks ladies for all the replies.
I saw my OB on Wednesday and explained to her what was going on. She said it was more than likely watery CM but I clarified that I do have a yellow discharge when I wipe and if this happens to get on my underwear than it drys white however the wetness seems different.
Her advice was to pop a panty liner on and see what happens over the next 24 hours and pop to the hopsital for a siimple swab if it increases. Her biggest reasoning for thinking it was just watery CM was that it wasn't continuous. It would happen a couple of times a day, enough fluid to make me change my underwear but not a constant flow IYKWIM.
I was a bit disappointed that she just didn't do a simple swab then and there. But I should have spoken up.
My waters was never a constant flow, but definetely more than a couple of times a day.
She's probably right
Don't stress, just keep an eye on it![]()
