Headache, seeing stars and general feeling unwell.
This morning i woke up with a headache and a very sore neck, i jumped in the shower and stood under the hot water for about 10 mins and that seemed to help. When i got out of the shower after drying my hair i felt dizzy and i saw some stars so got dressed and laid back in bed. After a short time i got out and watched some tv with DD.
As the day progressed i felt one of my awful migraines coming on so started seeing fuzzy lines and felt my head start to pound, the inlaws were here so i kept it all to myself didn;t want to worry anyone so just took some pain killers and stayed on the couch. I started to get very very tired so when they left i went straight to bed. Slept solidly for a few good hours but woke up with pains down my legs so got up. Still feeling absolutely awful, i just pottered around the house. Been drinking a lot of water, feeling very thirsty and feel like no matter how much i drink its not enough.
DP suggested a walk to the shops as i was feeling quite sore to try loosen up. I felt ok walking down, the usual aching on the way back. Now sitting here i am seeing stars, my head is starting to throb and just feel down right not well.
My mum is on her way back from wagga so i can't call her up and ask her opinion.
Should i call up the hospital or just take some more pain killers and rest?
PS my blood pressure has been absolutely perfect at every check up.
It probably is just a migrane and I know you are prone to them, but with visual disturbance it's just not worth the risk. If you have to hang around for your mum then try and drink some water as that often eases a bad headache
Yes migraines aren't uncommon for me at all. I just haven't had one for quite a while. The visual disturbances are whats worrying me as they have been there before the headaches. And feeling a lot more tired than usual and just generally feeling awful.
LMS, please don't muck around. Ring your hospital now. It's just not worth the risk. So what if it turns out to be nothing (as I hope it will). It's best to be safe.
LMS- I hope things are ok.
To me it sounds like a BP headache, either high or low the headaches are similar. (I've had both in pregnancy) fingers crossed it's not too serious....
