Headbutting my cervix??

Hi all,

The last few days, I have been getting a lot of sharp stabbing pains down low (which I think is like a headbut to my cervix). So much so that I am flinching my whole body as the pain is so sudden and sharp.

I don't know if this is normal or if i should call my OB and ask this question.

Anyone out there have this issue at 35 - 36 wks?

I've had some period type pain, but nothing more than what I would describe as things getting prepared, and on Sat morning i had a high tummy tightening, for an hour or so, but nothing I would say that would indicate that I'm having contractions (and I haven't had a show or waters breaking either)....

Help?!

Hi hun,
I'm 33 weeks and I've been getting these too. I got them with ds as well. I think that's pretty much exactly what it is- bubs headbutting or punching your cervix, hips, or the nerves in your spine.

Tbh, I find it really annoying and painful and I get sick of people asking me if I am in labour evry time I flinch or keel over...

I started getting that when each of my bub's engaged. It started at 34 weeks this time and it HURTS! It's like a really sharp knife stabbing you *shudder*.

I'm due the day after you and yep, I too have been getting these pains ontop of feeling like I have a bowling ball between my legs!
Not long to go now hun... I know it is hard but try to enjoy as much as you can. All the best

I'm seeing my OB today so will be intersting to see if Tarko is engaged or just playing games with my cervix!
