Hi Danielle
Don’t worry hun it all sounds normal to me.
The pain in your ribs is caused by your rib cage expanding. By about 36 weeks your rib cage will have expanded by about 30%. Another contributing factor is the increase production of a hormone called relaxin. This hormone, along with a little help from progesterone causes all your joints to loosen, To help with the pain you could try panadol or panadeine, but the only way to get rid of the pain is to give birth. ( I only just posted this in another thread).
The increase in CM is very common late in pregnancy, and this along with your backache tells me that labour is probably not too far away. When you feel the period type pains if you put your hand on tour tummy you may feel it tightening. This is Braxton Hicks contractions, a way that your bdy prepares for birth
