help - wet my pants! (embarrassing)

I just had a terrible experience! I sneezed and wet myself! I've never had any problems with my pelvic floor before, and I'm hoping this doesn't mean the beginning of it...does anyone know whether this is more likely to happen because im preg (33 weeks) or whether this is the beginning of lots of problems...
has this happened to anyone else and did it turn out okay after birth??
    LUCKY I WAS HOME ALONE!!

    Hi Ttcno2
It is because your pregnant. Your baby is putting a lot of pressure down there. Just remember to do your pelvic floor exercises or you will have problems later in life

It's definitely a pregnancy thing. I always cringe if I have to sneeze when I'm out. Nothing has ever happened - but I can tell how easily it could!

I am pregnant with my 5th child and have experienced a 'trickle' once or twice during the late stage of each pregnancy (especially on a busy day when I have been standing for hours). To keep things in tone I simply do my pelvic floor exerciese (gently during pregnancy and more regularly when my lochia has finished after birth). As a result, I haven't had any problems and the GP tells me that my pelvic floor is in good condition.

So don't panic - while its important to do pelvic expercises, having an occassional slip up at 33wks pregnant doesn't mean that your are destined for nappies. Its just a shocking reminder not to forget to do your PF exercises.

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago - I was horrified!! but midwives also advised it was due to pg. Nothing like a little wee now and then to remind out to do those exercises though!!!

I wear a panty liner all the time during pregnancy because of that. Once Ive had the baby all is back to normal.

I've had that happen- both sneezing and coughing, I have to stand still and keep legs tightly crossed or together. It doesn't help that the baby's slipped downwards and has reduced my bladder to the size of a prune.
    A dried prune, at that.
Here's to the exercises and not widdling after the birth!
