    Unhappy Hot Spots??? - Alan

For the last couple of weeks i have been noticing that i am getting these numb sore spots on my stomach. It is always in the same spot.

So tonight I was looking through one of my pregnancy books to see if it mentioned anything about numbess on the stomach. I ended up coming across a section on Hot Spots. It said they are move likey in women who have had frequent or close pregnancy.

I have tried researching the internet but can't seem too find anything on it. Has anyone else heard of this term??? Alan??

Should i call the hospital if it gets any worse? It is quite painful tonight. Would it be worse if bubs is in the breech position??

Any comments or advice would be appreciated.

I'm not sure about 'hot spots'. but the Numbness is caused by your tummy stretching. It should not be painful but can feel like pins and needles. Pain could be caused by your baby's limbs sticking into you.

    Thanks Alan.

It kinda feels like pins and needles but its hot. I feel the burning sensation come and go.

I literally feel like i am going to have a Sigourney Weaver moment and a little alien is going to tear out of there!!

    Probably is just stretching.

    Hi Sara
If it does get more painful then perhaps get it checked.
I wonder how many pregnant women have had a dream re Sigourneyand her little alien friends

Happy to report the pain went away after a shower and bed time. I might just mention something to the Ob at my next appointment. Unless ofcourse it gets so bad in the meantime that i need to call the Birth Suite.

    Thanks heaps Alan!
