How to make the last 8 weeks go faster?

So theres around 8 weeks until my EDD. Only just this last week or so i have actually felt pregnant and ready for this baby. Now i am becoming impatient and wish these weeks would hurry up!

I have bought everything that is needed and i don't see my midwife for another 4 weeks. Don't have any friends or family near by either. So what can i do to make it not seem so boring and long and dragged out?

How about taking up a hobby such as sewing? I tried to do lots of puzzles earlier in my pregnancy and just got so bored... I've found tv series box sets are the way to go!

I feel your pain Antheia! So far BB has become my saving grace Other than that I now have a pretty steady TV routine

I was doing a bit of cooking (if that is something you're into), but I'm finding I get too sore being on my feet for too long now. Maybe you could prepare some meals for freezing and using when bubs arrives?

What about writing a list of small tasks that need doing around the house? You could cross one off each day... I know I have a million things I should be doing!! Sorting out the linen cupboard or the kitchen cupboards, sorting out book shelves, CD's, DVD's. The sort of things that you never get around to. Not much fun, but hey it would pass some time.

What about giving yourself a craft project? A few weeks ago I made a wooden mobile for bubs room and I also made a 'thingy' (don't know what you would call it) which all my necklaces hang from. I got so sick of all my necklaces getting tangled up! I also wear them more often now because they are all on display in my cupboard and I can see what will go with what I am wearing at the time

Sorry I can't come up with anything more exciting... If it helps any, it feels like just a couple of days ago I was saying I had 8 weeks to go!

    hi

Know you have kids of your own, but I can hire my tribe out for a few weeks if you like, they will keep you busy, lol.
I'm quite happy with my bubs where it is at the moment, the noise level is going to increase considerably when it is born.

I am the same. Except only 3 weeks to go. I must admit that I am still supposed to be working from home until Friday but find it very easy to get distracted. I love switching off and watching a DVD or something like that. Its how I relax. I have also been nesting which can take a bit of time. I went through my pantry and ended up chucking out 3 bags of out of date food! Now the pantry looks empty! I cleaned the microwave. Cleaned the tuperware draw. I will probably clean out the bathroom cupboard this week sometime. But I must admit I spend a lot of time reading up on what labour and recovery is going to be like and how to look after a baby etc.
