I was induced at 10 days over, due to low fluid levels. I only had an ARM, not the drip (my choice), and had a vaginal birth that evening. I had already started contractions naturally the night before, but still needed to speed things up.

    Good luck!

I am now 2 days over and after a scheduled antenatal appointment this morning I am being induced on Sunday which will be 7 days over. I've had a normal pregnancy and am still feeling pretty good - no BP issues or anything so I am a little disappointed at not being able to wait for things to progress. On the upside, I still have three days to convince the baby to come out willingly so will gladly accept any labour vibes that anyone can send our way.

    Gracie ,

I have a close friend who was 6 days over dates and told she would be induced on Friday , her SIL (a midwife) gave her this aromatherapy mix , she bought it Sunday, had used it twice a day till last night and is now in well established labor, am expecting news any time now

Thought you might like the receipe

    LABOUR & CHILDBIRTH
    10 drops Jasmine 3%
    5 drops Clary Sage
    25mL Apricot Kernel oil

Massage over abdomen and lower back only when labour has started or if baby is overdue

Hope it helps if you try it

My first 2 children were overdue by about 10 days.
I went into labour naturally with my first at 9pm and she was delivered at 5.30pm the next day by vac suction. I think because I went private with my 2nd baby my OB didn't want me to go too long overdue (despite me having a history of it) so I was induced at 8am and delivered vaginally just after midnight that night. I wish I had been left alone to go into labour naturally. Neither of my over due babies had any signs of being 'over cooked' and I had good amniotic fluid levels and the placentas were good too. I think my body just needs a bit longer than other women...

My third baby was induced because I had cholestasis at 37 weeks but I bet he would have been overdue as well.

I was booked in for an induction at 41 weeks, had the gel and my waters broke around 1am and contractions started so I didn't end up needing the drip, I'd been having cramp type feelings for a few days before and looking back it was probably early labour, so I think I probably would have gone into labour not much past this date anyway, I was well and truly ready!
Sending you lots of labour vibes, it won't be long now!

Stretch and sweep at 6 days over, rupture of membranes and then eventually the drip 8 days over, and delivered at 9 days over. He didn't look overcooked at all. Mind you, I was enormous!

Tia was 10 days over and arrived without any help.
Alisha was 4 days over and came out very quickly.

Now i'm just hoping that this one will arrive either a little early or at least on time!
