I'm bored!!! Give me some ideas of things I can do to stop me going crazy!!

I am 38 weeks this coming Tuesday.... I'm already bored and over being tired. My brain is alert though, but Facebook and iPad and BB just are not entertaining me enough... So....

Hit me with your ideas... What can I do that

    a. Doesn't require going out
    b. Isn't too physically difficult

I know you said doesn't require going out - but the last couple of weeks of both of my pregnancies I really enjoyed going to the cinema (I went on my own)(and is something much more difficult to do after children).

I started knitting a jacket 1 day before due date for DD - then that made me not want her to come till had finished it (she arrived when I had only an arm left to do and took three months to do that arm!)

    Lol saffy... ; )

For the last week I played with baby things a lot... washed, folded, re-folded little clothes, blankets, face washers etc. Cleaned fridge
Made freezer meals (well worth the effort)
Read a couple of books (haven't read a book since ds was born!)
Generally relaxed my butt off, knowing that I would soon be very, very busy. : )

Something crafty like a cross stitch
    Lay in bed and read
Watch movies on the couch with lots of snacks
    Make some meals to freeze
    Go out to the cinema!
    Go out for breakfast

As PP said, you specified things to do at home but I loved going out for a leisurely breakfast or popping out to the cinema in those later weeks. Was awhile before we managed after Moo arrived!

I ended up going back to work for a couple of short days when I realised the nesting wasn't going to ever come to me!
I loved people faces when they asked me when I was due and I was able to say yesterday!! They all stepped back... Scared their feet would get splashed I think ha ha

Here is a list of things I did in those last few weeks when I was climbing the walls.

Put in alphabetical order all our CD's on the shelf.
Put ever one of our CD's onto Itunes so we could listen to them through the PC.
Arranged the pantry to the point if DH moved anything out of my order, he was lucky to live the to the next day
    Cleaned, organised and re-organised.
    Got waxed, pedicured and manicured.
    Shopped online.

It was the toughest couple of the weeks those last few weeks.

Copy all your pg posts from BB into a single doc so you have a journal for baby.
Start filling in the stuff you can for the baby book.
Knit a pair of booties or a beanie.
    Go get a hair cut.
    Get the car washed.
    Cook meals for the freezer.

    Books, books, glorious books.

I read a lot. I figured I wouldn't be able to with a baby. Although I was wrong (and Liebling is the only baby I know who had all of Lord of the Rings read aloud to him as a bedtime story), it kept me occupied.

Watch birth videos on YouTube? I really binge on birth videos in my later pregnancy stage, it gets me all revved and excited lol.

Re: I'm bored!!! Give me some ideas of things I can do to stop me going crazy!!

    Some great ideas girls!

All my craft stuff and books are still packed away in the garage from moving house. Hubby hasn't finished painting the study, so it makes it even harder cause all my stuff is packed. Also my carpel tunnel makes some stuff hard.

I have made Bolognese sauce, curried rice/mince, devilled sausages and chicken soup. The are about two weeks of meals in the freezer so far. Any other ideas for good frozen meals that I could cook this week?

I found standing up today doing the chicken and leaning over the bench quite difficult - so it needs to be quick ish meals that don't require too much preparation...

All the baby stuff I have is washed and folded and ready to go. We don't know if it's a boy or girl so there will be more shopping and washing required later... But for now... I have it all done.

Wysiwyg. I may just be inspired to go to the movies. There are a couple I would like to see.

Saffy - I want to, even when I think we will... DH has been leaving me alone... I think he thinks it's too hard for me... I guess I might just have to be a bit more "assertive".

I just wish I was more physically capable. I would have loved to go out for walks and explore the local area - as it's all new for us. But it's just too hard. Two days this week I have been shopping and my belly has been so sore and tight and hard while I have been out.... on the other hand... Maybe it will make the baby come quicker!!
