Ive had the same thing....if thats any consolation for you...
Not sure about the whole how far in advance these things are meant to happen, i wish it meant it was going to happen soon im getting so impatient and uncomfortable!!!
Sorry for bringing this up......but I have been going to the bathroom heaps in the past few days, and I don't mean no.1's. They are also getting less firm.
Could this be preparation for labour and my body trying to evacuate my bowels?
Also, I don't know if they are pre-labour symptoms, but I have had, what feel like diarrhea cramps and feeling nauseous the past three days. Could this again be my body preparing? If so, how long in advance do these things usually happen?

Urgh, I am usually so organised and I have no idea what's going on!!!!
I haven't got up once in the middle of the night to wee for the whole pregnancy and now carpel tunnel and cramps have me up instead!
Me too!!! How bizarre! I don't remember it happening with my first pregnancy, but I am going around twice a day and it is definately less firm too. Normally I am once every two days or so. Weird!
Hopefully it is preparation for labour!
heh - I just posted in another thread that I was lucky and never had to get up to pee, but suffered with carpel tunnel towards the end!
My bowels cleaned themselves out well and truly 3 days before DS was born (this was at 37wks) I sat on the loo every 1/2hr almost for a day & a half. Whilst that was happening, I lost my plug... and the stomach cramps turned into regular cramps/contractions, then my waters broke after another day, and DS was born the next day.
I hope it's the beginning of things for you! I think you can start getting pre-labour stuff quite early on tho, so don't hold your breathe, but I hope things get going soon![]()
I felt neauseous and started to do loose number 2s on the Sunday (which continued until the Thursday) and then on the Wednesday my waters broke. I started having slight contractions that night but was induced on the Friday as it was deemed 'too risky'.
Well it seems things are starting to move on a bit, I have been having, what I guess are irregular early stage contractions - more like a mix of braxton hicks with period pain for the past day or so. Then this morning I had "the show" - sounds like something out of broadway but was a bit less musical! Maybe this means that things will happen soon but I am not sure how long after the show real labour will begin! I am just constantly harassing dh to see where his meetings are so I know when I can call him.
Hi Bess
The show does mean that things are moving along for you but it is not an indication that labour is going to start soon. You can go for 2 or 3 weeks after the show before you actually go into labour. However labour can start in another day or two.
I had my first show 2 weeks before the girls arrived. The girls were born on a monday and the previous thursday and friday I had nausea and was constantly on the loo. When my OB checked me on the monday I was already 4cm dilated and then from her internal my waters broke.
I did have cramping but my body ached all over because I carried twins.
good luck sounds like you are getting close.
