    Insomnia

Anyone suffering this at the moment?

I can't seem to get comfy much so my sleep isn't great anyway, but latley soon as I get up to go to the bathroom, or sometimes just randomly I'll wake up and be awake for at least 3 hours or so before I can get back to sleep.

It's taking it's toll now because I still have 2 weeks of work yet but I'm really struggling now.

I found it so hard to sleep towards the end. I just couldn't get comfy and couldn't switch my mind off. I don't have any tips unfortunately, just hugs

I'm sleeping a lot better now bubs is here lol.

I had the exact same thing....I would wake up at 1am to go to the loo and then I'd be wide awake until 3.30am! I used to just go with it because it was useless (and majorly uncomfortable) to just stay in bed. I'd get up and check my emails, make lists of the things that were on my mind, have a drink and check this site. Then I'd go back to bed and usually, because I had everything off my mind, I would fall asleep pretty quickly.

However I had the luxury of an afternoon nap because I was already on maternity leave by your stage. I hope you can get some sleep. Have you tried a warm cup of milk or a small snack?

Feel the pain, I think I got up to the loo 7 times last night and then when I wasn't doing that I was laying in bed tossing and turning because I couldn't get comfortable. And thinking about weird things, then when I was sleeping eventually it was dreaming about giving birth on the freeway.

Might have to try the get up, clear head and reset idea - finishing work in 3 days!! I also find chamomile tea with a dollop of honey before bed sometimes soothes me enough to ignore the aching hips/back and go to sleep.

Thanks guys, fingers crossed I can struggle through the next few weeks. I've tried getting up but that seems to make it worse. I've stayed at home today becuase 4 hours sleep does not make me function too well at work LOL

I do, and I'm not in the 3rd trimester either!! But, then again, I work during the night

FWIW I get substantially more sleep now with a baby than I did when I was preg.
