    is this it?

On Saturday and Sunday I had consistent BHs probably around 30 - 40 minutes apart. Yesterday bubs was very quiet, just subtle "rolling" sort of movements.

I couldn't sleep last night, just up and about feeling fidgety ...if that makes sense.

Early this morning I woke up with the urge to pee (nothing unusual there!). It took ages to actually go though and it wasn't that nice "relief" feeling you get! When I went back to bed I started to get the gradual, period type pain, followed by a slow build up to a tightening which was uncomfortable. I also got lower back pain, and vaginal pain (actually, more just "ouchie that hurts" pains). This subsided then I would get them again. No, I didn't time them - didn't want to wake DH, but I'm guessing about 20 or so minutes apart. I'm still getting them now, not all the same discomfort level though and some come closer together then there's a 20 minute break. After every second one or so bubs gives a bit of a roll around like he's looking for somewhere more comfortable.

Any ideas ladies? Would I be right in staying home from work today - yes, I finish up tomorrow....don't ask why!!

I think you should be staying home today, it really does sound like the start of labour. Good luck.

I think stay home today and do as little as possible. Perhaps take a bath and see if that helps at all.

Sounds to me like things could be starting too! I think stay home, you probably don't want to be at work with cx especially if labour continues, and if not today it sounds like its happening soon so why not have at least one day off before bubs arrives xo watch a dvd or something try to relax and focus on other things (as mucg as possible) it might take a little while to build up to really strong cx and might be goodnot to wear yourself out mentally timing cx etc Wishing you a wonderful labour and birth!!

    WOOHOO!!!!
