Leakage? Could it be wee? Do I do anything

After waking this morning I went to the toilet (like yu do). Then after breaky I went to do a #2 (sorry tmi) and noticed I had very wet knickers... every morning they are a little wet, but this morning it was 2-3x as much.

Considering I just went tot he loo 20 mins before could I have left some urine in my bladder and that be the cause?

If it is a hind leak do I do anything or just not worry about it?

I know this is my 4th time round and I sould know these things but my waters never break until i am in active labour.

    What do you think?

    Ooh Tanya!! Exciting stuff!

I know though that sometimes after I go to the loo (again TMI ) maybe because of the pressure, I don't have as much sensation, and can wipe & haven't quite finished IYKWIM. So pretty much end up a tiny bit wet from that. So that could be it. I'd say wait & see if there are any more leaks & go from there.

    Let us know!!!

If you are worried you can buy things called "Amnio Pads", they just go into your knickers like regular pads and can detect any amniotic fluid loss.
You can get them at certain chemists.
Love the due date, it's my baby's birthdate, just a year later.
    Good Luck!!!!!!!

Yeah Linda, that's what I was thinking it may be... jumping off the loo too early.
I've put on a pad JIC...

    Thanx
    Tanya

ETA, Catherine, never heard of them... if I am still unsure later I might go suss them out. Althought the thought of asking after them makes me a tad uncomphy
What a great birthday your DS has

i used to get a little urine leakage with both my preganancies but not real wet - just little bits here and there and depending on activity level - I would be giving your midwife/hospital a call and just ask them whether they want to see you. they usually ask you to collect it on a pad in the meantime so they can test it.
They say it smells different but I don't know the difference.

Hope someone has some more helpful info

Yeah, it mostly happens to me if I'm in too much of a hurry but do keep us posted if you have any more leaks! I'm all excited now! But you can't have it yet, you have to wait for me first!

Tanya, sounds like a bit of overflow hun Next time sit on that damn seat for 10 seconds longer.

If it is a hind leak thats ok too. Hind waters will often reseal themselves. It doesn't always mean that labour is around the corner.

    Hey Tanya

I have had the same thing thanks to a little fluey cough as well. I can not believe I can go to the loo, then still have this. I too have popped on a pad JIC. The positive I take is bubs is so low the pressure on my bladder must have increased!

    Thinking of you hun. JAc

Well I don't think there has been anything since... although I have been swimming with the girls so hard to be sure.
I also had 3 Soft BM this morning...

I don't think I was leaking, nor do I think the BM's mean anything atm...

Thank you all so much for you input

    Hi Tanya,

Is there any colour to the loss? Is it pinky in colour? Does it have a urine type smell or does it have a sweet smell? We tell women to pop a pad on for an hour and then check the loss. How, much, colour, smell, etc.
It might just be wee or increased leukorrhoea (that white stuff increases as the pregnancy progresses and as labour becomes closer, it changes from a thick white consistency to a thinner, clear fluid but it doesn't smell. If it is your waters, it will have a real protein- y smell...kind of like peanut butter.

If it does have a colour eg; pink, or green go get it checked out. If you are worried get the midwives to check it out too. At 35 weeks they probably won't try to stop the labour from happening but it will be good to know how long your waters have been broken.

    Good Luck, thinking of you

ETA; you got in before me!! LOL

    Thanx Tiff

When I get a bit of leakage (usually in the morning) it does smell sweet... I didn't really take any notice this morning tho, sort of panicked at the amount that was there!
I will keep an eye on the situation and make sure of nothing else suss

    good advise from Tiff.
some things to think about if it happens again:
does it happen when you need to go to the loo so ie: pelvic floor maybe a little weakier expectably.
does it happen after youve been to the loo when you stand from sitting, or whilst walking?
does it happen if you cough, sneeze, pick up something?
pop a panty liner or pad depending on the leakage and take note of the smell. Sweet smell not unlike seamen could me a rupture of your membranes.
also clearer in colour then the yellowish urine colour
when this happened to me at 32weeks i thought i was just wetting myself but turned out it was amniotic fluid. If so they will want to monitor you because of possible infection.
Not trying to worry you just from my personal opinion and experience
