I am so sick of being so tired all the time. Even the smallest things like going to the shops feel like they take so much effort and leave me exhausted...how on earth am I going to cope with labour?
I mean, coped fine with DD, but that was when I was 10 years younger and a lot fitter. I've been doing a bit of gentle swimming and walking throughout, but as much as I'm getting to the point where I want him out, I don't feel like I'm ready for this...
Oh Hun it's going to be ok, I remember feeling EXACTLY the same when I was nearing the end of my pregnancy with my son, as he was a huge baby and I was just sooo exhausted I could hardly move. And to make things worse, I was contracting for over 24 hours before full on labour set in - and hadnt slept for nearly 2 days!!! (if you could call what you get sleep in pregnancy -waking up every 2 hours to pee, not like thats gotten any better though LOL). anyway... Point I'm trying to make is when your body goes into labour it just completely takes over, your instincts will shine through and you won't even have to think about what you're doing. Just go with the flow and breathe - let nature take it's course. And to top off my situation of sheer exhaustion - they gave me sleeping pills right before my waters broke LOL I did it and i did it all natural with a big 8pd11oz and I honestly think the exhaustion was the hardest after the birth, not during (as in labour I was totally zoned out and inward focus). Trust yourself hun - you can do it!!! Positive vibes xx
Sent from my iPhone more than likely while I should be doing something else!
Thanks honey - makes me feel a bit better. I think the lack of sleep is taking it's toll as well, for some reason 1-3am is when Penguin is most active so poo-all chance of sleeping through it. Plus I have horrid hayfever that I can't take anything for, which is making me even more uncomfortable.
Now to just concentrate on getting through one day at a time and not over-analysing every teeny little twinge in the hopes that something is about to happen....
I sympathise as I feel the same way. Just sitting up at the moment is tiring let alone going shopping! I think its the lack of sleep issue too, I'm either not sleeping or not well enough waking every few hours to turn (and toss and turn according to hubby! LOL) and it's taking its toll now baby is so much heavier.
I'm sure all will be well and you will have the energy for labor, TBH it is something I had started to worry about recently being as tired as I am too.
