Hey there everyone tia for reading..
Usually I know when u have worries about movements u call ur midwives and go in for monitoring.. Problem is im stuck here with no way to get anywhere (its an ambo if I go into labour!) so I thought id post on here n get some thoughts anyway..
So 38wks today n for the last few days bubbys movements have been a bit quiet.. Deffinately still getting 10 in 12hrs like they say but he seems to have less wakeful periods more like a squirm and back to sleep.. He's very low down to the point where it hurts to walk now and im getting lots of period type pain so im hoping he's just resting for the big event (tho hopefully he will wait till I recover from this cold and have some transport!)
What to u guys think? Im always very paranoid about things like this so wld love to go in and be reassured but its just not an option atm.. Thanx again..
hi, I know the feeling! so easy to get paranoid when its almost all over!
try having a really cold drink or something high energy like a coke or banana, it should get your little one moving.
theres no harm in just calling your mw and getting some re assurace if needed. x
When your bub is getting ready for the labour journey they will quieten down a fair bit. The fact that you are still feeling bubby every hr or so (roughly by what you said) all sounds pretty normal, and that bubby is sitting quite low may just be another indicator. Not saying you will go into labour straight away, but you must be getting close. Good luck with it all.
If you do get concerned, always ring your midwife just for that added assurence and if bub is 'too' quiet definately do what the ladies above have said with the cold water! It'll have bubby booting you in no time!
I ate some ice to make sure Ash was still ok in there when he was overly quiet Often it means they are getting ready for labour, but make sure if he stops moving that you get checked out immediately, even if it means ambulance. Things CAN go wrong later in pregnancy
Hey thanx everyone I've had quite a few more movements since I last posted.. I think its just last minute jitters I only seem to think about it when he's not moving iykwim but when I think properly im still getting a fair few movements!! Did have a drink n that woke him up. Also when I sat up (been laying down a fair bit due to a cold) it was obviosuly uncomfy for him and he gave a few kicks.. Thanx again everyone
