Bloody show last week, pink mucus and period like cramps this week @ 40+6

I'm getting so frustrated with my body as the furthest i've gone over is 2 days... i'm now 6 days over.

I had a s+s last Wed and had a definite bloody show the next morning.

My question however is... is it normal to go this long and then have some more pink tinged mucus with period type pains? I'm a little worried something is wrong.. I do have an appointment today but just thought i'd ask here first.

sounds like it could be early labour you can still have pink tinged mucous after a bloody show as some of it might have still been in there ITMS.

Goodluck and wishing you a beautiful birth...so close now xx

I've just had another stretch and sweep but cervix is still only 3cm and still only 3/5 engaged. The cramps are so bad now it's ridiculous, I can barely walk. I'm so worried something is wrong.. Baby is moving so much where it hurts too making it so much worse, I can almost feel air pockets between my legs everytime she moves. This is not how is meant to be

Mum4, sounds like labour to me... I just my 4th baby and her birth blew me away it was so different to the others. Just relax and listen to yourself and listen to your body, if in this relaxed place you feel there is something wrong ask someone for reassurance. The fear that comes up when we face birth can talk us into many things, so be sure to relax and listen from there.

I will be thinking of you today, I look forward to hearing your baby news xx

sounds like baby is attempting to move into a good position...sometimes that can be very very uncomfortable especially if labour is kickstarting (which it sounds like). maybe some nice hip rocking and squats and climbing some stairs (i fashioned 'stairs' using my DDs step stool lol). it is super common for mulitpara women to not have baby engage until well into labour and honestly, dialation is not a real indicator either. i think that you are on your way
