    not feeling well...

    hi all

Over the past few days I have been feeling a bit off with an upset stomach and a little bit of nausea, & a horrible feeling of pressure/intense pushing on the top of my belly.

I am a little worried aswell as the bub is still moving, but not as much movement as in the past - should I be worried and ring midwives or is this normal?

    Any thoughts??

    Hi Bugalug,

My midwives say you should report any significant changes in fetal movements to your carer. However, bear in mind that if you aren't feeling too well, this can affect your bub. I had a cold recently and my bub's movements slowed for two days (he usually kicks and hiccups very frequently) and as soon as I started feeling better, his movements returned to normal "normal for him". If you are worried, it's best to contact your caregiver and get some peace of mind.

Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

I'm not sure about the difference in foetal movement, but the icky tummy feelings could be about the uterus moving higher and squashing up your tum. I know as mine has gotten bigger, my tum gets really upset (nausea, indigestion, heartburn and feeling "squahsed"). Then it seems to kind of get used to it and be ok for a few days and then as the uterus moves higher it gets worse again....grrr!!

Just an update.....called the midwives & advised me to come in.

They did all the tests, and popped me on the monitor, all is fine with the baby!!

Baby is moving heaps, heart beat is fine - My baby is just playing in the backyard,, instead of the front yard!!!

    What a relief!

Still feel a bit yuk myself, and tired - but i'm sure that will pass. Just glad that bub is happy and healthy!
