    Wink Note to pregnant self...

Please remember that you are not only pregnant but heavily pregnant. As such keep the following things in mind in normal daily life until the day the bundle of joy is delivered:
    1. Standing sideways in a door way prevents anyone getting in or out due to the circumfrence of your belly.
    2. Carrying heavy shopping bags hurt, and carrying two heavy shopping bags not only hurts at the time, but also for the next few days.
    3. Getting into/out of the bed requires preparation, leverage and sometimes help from another human, cats and dogs only hinder the process.
    4. Opening doors requires a step backwards at the same time, if this is not done then the said opening door will hit the belly - painfully.
    5. Never, and I repeat never, get into the bath unless there is another human in the house who can hear you, again cats and dogs can keep you company but not help you out.
    6. When in parking lots remember the diameter of your belly is larger than normal and squeezing into that narrow parking space will only result in you being trapped in the car and not being able to get out and do the shopping.
    7. Eating treats is still allowed in moderation, however leaving a part of every snack on top of the belly gives away the large number of treats you have been eating.
    8. Laughing uncontrollably at things you read on bellybelly will help the endorphin levels, but may mean a quick trip to the bathroom due to the inconsistent nature of your bladder.

If anyone is is needing to write a list of things to remember when pregnant - please add!

I would have to add sitting on the ground is also now a process of falling down from a certain point and getting up may require assistance. So encourage your toddler to sit on the couch with you to play rather than on the floor otherwise mummy might get stuck.

I agree with the bath, but luckily I manage to push off the side of the bath and roll over to my knee's and then get up slowly from there, it is a long process but I eventually make it out of the bath in one piece

Note to self - to use a laptop, one requires a lap.

I got it back from repairs I sent it in for in the second tri - took them like 3 weeks to get it all right. Havent used it for more than 5 minutes since I got it back.... I just can't get comfortable with it.

Apparently baby grows a LOT in 3 weeks.

Tellytubby - at least your friend could keep herself warm!

Maybebabie: Yep - getting onto and off the floor is exercise in itself!

Serenitylee: The problem is that I only just fit into the bath now... so no turning over for me!

Always have a pad on - baby weight combined with laughing combined with the slowness with which you now walk means you are bound to leak at least once

A school student stood up on the bus and offered me her seat yesterday. Problem was, I couldn't actually fit behind the seat and ended up sitting sideways.

I bought lunch from a cafe and when I reached up over the counter to grab my roll, I couldn't. My belly was hitting the front of the display cabinet.

When walking through a restaurant pulling your stomach in between tables doesnt stop your bum or your stomach hitting 2 people simultaneously

    Yes! Exactly!

I was at the theatre the other night and there way NO WAY that people could fit past me to get into their seat.

LMAO I had forgotten at lot of these

I got stuck in the bath for ages one day when DF was out mowing the lawns and couldn't hear me yelling for help....

Also ditto the car spaces - even now I want to backhand the stupid people who park way too close to me when I have a babyseat in the car and I can't get DS in or out ..ggrrrrr!!!

lmao at no.6, I made the exact same note to self today

and as for no.5, I went up for a bath tonight... DH said when I came down 'that was quick' & I replied that I had decided a bath wasn't really a wise idea, I didn't think I could get out.. he said 'I would have helped you out'... Yeah honey, you & what forklift?

Wishing you a speedy recovery Ryatha

Always remember to use the wheelchair toilets, because the normal cubicle doors get in the way!

lmao! wish I had had this list a week ago when DD asked me to have a bath with her which I obligingly did..only to really struggle when it came time to get out...which wasn't helped by DD being in the bath with me laughing and repeating 'mummy stuck'. Not a good look!

Isn't it great when our little ones state the obvious, find it funny but aren't able to help out at all?

Additional note - do anything you can - ANYTHING - including pretending to faint, to get out of staff meetings, chairs are just not comfortable when in 3rd trimester.

Also - sleeping in bed with DD, DH, small cat and new puppy will result in bruises, broken sleep and waking up at 6am.
