    Oh for Goodness sake!

Ok, so I haven't had many issues in my pregnancy and certaintly not suffered as badly as some of you have. But I am so over this frickin' heart burn/indigestion! I've done all my normal tricks and still can't make it go away! I'm getting it every day at the moment and am so over it! I've tried fizzy water, rennie, mylanta, fruit tingles, I even had a milk drink and I HATE milk!!!!! GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT, if it's the worst that happens in my pregnancy....

Hugs, MG - I'm not going to tell you others have it worse, because that's just more annoying, but I hope it does clear up soon. I have the odd bit of reflux and I hate it! It's so horrid to go from normal and healthy to having some stupid niggle you can't do anything about for another nine weeks.

In some respects, the little things are worse - you feel like you shouldn't complain, everyone else tells you you're lucky when you feel bad... you just want to be taken seriously and loved!

    Totally frustrating, hey MG?
I got it pretty bad with Gab too. I used to have to prop myself up with 4 or 5 pillows and sleep sitting up to try and help (not that it did much). I started to detest the chalking ant-acids so I got the chewy ones but even they got sickening after a while.
Better stock up. I imagine I'll be back there soon enough.

MG...oh I really feel for you, I too had terrible indigestion/heartburn with both of my pregnancies. I mainly suffered at night. I found drinking a glass of milk before bed, did help a little and rennie. It wasn't until 1 week before the birth of DD that I got soooo bad and also had very unusual pains that I had an u/s and they found gall stones. Both times, as soon as baby was born...no more suffering.

    Hang in there....Take Care. X

MG - if its that bad, go and get some Zantac. Seriously, I suffered soooo badly with Jenna, I didn't realise how bad it was until this pregnancy when I have had so little by comparison. I swear I couldn't even have a glass of water without it repeating on me!
The major issue with Zantac (which is now just pharmacy only) is that it can affect your iron absorption, which in pregnancy is already compromised. So as long as you don have any iron issues, a pill a day may control this.

Check with your health provider, cause I remember how bloody bad it was, and hopefully it doesn't have to be like that with you.

Mg- you poor love, its the little things that build on you and make you nuts i think...
i too cant have a glass of water without doing a "baby vomit" and have been having problems as soon as a get into bed at night... ive been using Eno... you know the stuff you add to water that u stir and stir and it goes fizzy and then you chug it down...
hope you are feeling merry soon.

Oh, I wish it was just night time I get it! I get it all through the day - although the other night it actually woke me up! I was talking to my Ob about it today and she laughed when I told her coke and fruit tingles normally work whilst ant acids aren't!

ROFL Jen! When I started reading your post I thought you were going to tell me it meant I was having a girl! ROFL. I think, from memory, my sister had a full head of hair (which fell out after a couple of days) so it could very well be possible that my bubba is born with a full head of hair!
DH keeps telling me I don't really have indigestion and it's just my mind playing tricks to satisfy my addiction to coca cola! I wish!
