Question ? Cervix position at 37 weeks

Hi all you educated and informative ladies

Last night was the first night I had inserted evening primrose capsule - and a got a very surprising shock, my cervix feels very low and soft (soft I expected - but felt low like never before ...)

I know I have had 2 kiddies previously, but never worried about things like this very naive but this time I am very well informed as I want the best birth preparation possible etc - just like everyone else

Is it too early for it too feel so low - I know this sounds like TMI - but when I mean low, I mean probably 3/4 middle finger length?? I was so taken by surprise who knows where the EPO capsule ended up

So, have any of you observed your cervix at this point in preg and if so, what did you find and how long until labour started. I am not trying to kid myself that labour is going to start soon just very, very curious - as I said - I was very shocked!!!!

    Thanks again ladies
    S

I have had a low cervix with my last few pregnencies, so I'm no help there!!!

What I did notice within a week of going into labour was how short it suddenly got. Within a couple of days, it would shorten to nearly non existance!! And labour followed shortly after.

Good luck, not too long to go!!!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience - and #6 - all I can say is WOW

I suppose now that I am over the fright of it being so low - I will be checking it every day using the EPO anyway and will see if any further change or just my mind over matter now!

Any other ladies have any observational experiences?
