    Out of control cleaning! Anyone???

I am 36 weeks pregnant and for the past 3 weeks I have been cleaning everything in site. Not just vaccuming and mopping and dusting but cleaning every cupboard in the house, all the inside and outside windows of the house, all the doors inside the house, the blinds, fans, just everything that I see dirt or dust on. I think I need to slow down a bit but I just can't help it. I know that there is a nesting period before bub arrives but I am getting sick of it now. My husband thinks I'm crazy! Is anyone else doing this?

NESTING!! Sorry, but it seems to borderline on obsessive compulsive with every pregnant woman.
I don't think there is really anything you can do. Unless you wanna stop, sit down, and then obsess, over something else and have to exort near godlike will power not to get up and clean some more.

Ummm yes! The other day out of the blue I just got the urge to wash and clean the walls and doors - I've never done that in my life!!! I had no idea what I was doing and what to use either, but I just HAD to do it!

I think it's normal to go a bit cleaning crazy at this stage

I remember with my first standing on the chairs so I could get up and clean inside the top of the pantry and the high cupboards...ahhahaha. With Oskar I didn't do so much but we'd just moved house and I don't think I could be bothered by then after moving, cleaning old house, cleaning new house cos the previous owners had left it as a pigsty! This time, I've already had my moments that's for sure!

I did stuff I hardly ever do. Cleaned out the cupboards and completely pulled apart the fridge and freezer washed windows. I went totally off regular stuff like washing and ironing though.

Thanks girls it's good to know I'm not the only one and that I am half normal. I was a clean freak before I was pregnant and think that's why it's so out of control now during this nesting period. My husband said he is so tempted to throw away all the cleaning products in the house so I settle down a bit. Yeah I'm sure that will solve the problem. Men just don't understand. Anyway I'm off now to go clean something else that doesn't need cleaning. Thanks again girls!

i hope your doing lots of scrubbing down on your hands and knees....

there is a reason we go through this stage of cleaning....not only is it for getting ready for bubs to come in to its to get bubs in a great position for labour
