I could go to the GP and get a referral. But I'm in a midwifery group program and have my own midwife and everything so I should probably just ask her about it. I think if nothing has happened by Saturday I will talk to her about it when she calls me. Or if for some reason I feel more worried before then but you girls have helped me feel a bit better about it as usual!! Thankyou :hug:

SJ I have a plan. Get in the car on sunday (if you haven't started labour by then) and come visit me ;). I am sure that being so far away from the hossy will make those contractions come hard and fast LOL.

Still no sign of baby overnight :( Shouldn't I be feeling something by now at least? I guess I had a few more period type pains yesterday afternoon and last night but they stopped when I went to bed.

Hang in there SJ, he or she is baking just perfectly and will be with you in less than a week. How amazing is that :dance:.
PS I can't remember if I voted male of female for this bubba, but seeing how long it is taking, I think it must be a girl LOL.
Not necessarily. :( Sorry I know thats probably not what you want to hear. I didnt feel anything at all until they started my induction at 10days over, but I did lose my plug the day after accupunture and a S&S:

And dont worry about him/her getting too big, my largest was 8p 13oz, and all natural, no tears... it can be done, just relax babe....
If you want a scan each day to check bub, demand it. But you will be fine hon, I know how hard it is, but your getting niggly pains, rest up and let it happen!!!!

rayray- I don't think the acupuncture did much for me, hoping it did help prepare my body on the inside! But I guess nothing will help if it's not ready!

Have you tried a bit of meditation, SJ? It might help you to relax a little (and pass some time, LOL!). Plus, as I said to Ren when she was in your position not too long ago, I have heard that bubs will come along once you have a certain peace about things. Meditation can be fantastic for getting yourself into a calmer state of mind.
Are you still worried about the birth? Do you think you need some more debriefing? Do you have someone you can talk to about any fears/feelings/aprehensions you might have about labour and birth?
Are you into crafty things? (Like scrapbooking, cross-stich etc?) Sure as you start something bubs will come along before you have a chance to finish ;) Can you make some plans to go out for a hot chocolate or a frappe with a friend or member of your family? How about cooking? It could be handy to have some meals in your freezer for when bubby arrives (and s/he WILL be arriving any day now!).
I found when I went over with Natty, it was much easier to deal with things if I kept busy. It was around Christmas time so I occupied myself with some Christmas baking.
It really sucks going over your EDD, and no matter how much people like me tell you to relax and rest up, I know from experience it is just impossible. So my recommendation, babe, is to do something you really like to do and get your mind off things as much as possible. :hug: And try some of that meditation stuff - visualise your body getting ready for the birth, your cervix opening. Visualise holding your slimey, beautiful, freshly born baby in your arms and the absolute joy you will experience when you meet him or her for the first time. It will be very very soon.
Thanks Amy. I was actually thinking about the meditation today, or at least trying to relax coz I just got this free relaxation CD in the mail and haven't listened to it yet so i thought that would be a good thing to do and just try and get some quiet time and clear my mind. I don't feel worried about the labour and birth anymore, phew, I'm back to being calm about it and actually looking forward to it. Now the worries are just about the baby and wanting it to be healthy and everything to be ok which is making me anxious. So I need to try and stop those thoughts. Woke up to pee in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep with all these thoughts running through my head. Now that I'm extra tired today I'll probably go into labour, lol, just my luck.

Hmm....I just looked at my chart to try and reassure myself that maybe I am wrong and maybe I did ovulate 3 days later and I'm not so overdue (I know, I should stop thinking about it, lol). It looks like it's possible because my temp did go higher after then and conveniently we dtd on that day. But then it's pretty early when I got a positive test. WDYT??
exactly hun -- i reviewed my chart when i had a fewdays to go and we revised it to the 10th, not the 6th = and she came on the 10th!
remember ou have 2 weeks either way hun - sounds like you are going to have a chilled, easy going bab who is going to do things in their time, not whats expected by the doc!

A HPT+ at 9DPO is possible I guess, but then your CP doesn't correlate (LFC). I think you ovulated where the red crosshairs are. Sorry hun :hug:.

No idea about charts, LOL. But I do KWYM about just being concerned for bubs. Completely understand. I hope it happens very soon for you, mate.
Yes, definately do some baking- the night I went into labour I made a really nice dinner (and had some red wine....;))...you never know what will help!!

Yeah, my CP doesn't seem to correlate but then I never knew what it was or what it was doing and it's highly likely that after I thought I ovulated I didn't pay much attention and just put LFC lol. And it looks like I kept having ewcm for a while. I wouldn't think I could get a positive that early but I was using the really sensitive tests and the line was really faint for a while and I had REALLY high hcg (so much that they're sending the placenta off after birth still to see if there was any reason for that). So I guess it is possible. No way to really know though but it makes me feel better that I might not be as overdue as I think. Although I don't want to admit that the Drs might be right, haha.
I think I will bake a chocolate cake. When I can peel myself away from the book I'm reading at the moment!! It's getting good, a good distraction too!
