Berocca - start it the day after birth and it helps with the baby blues.
Have a seperate bag for labour as opposed to the stay, and a seperate one again for bubs.
Sard wonder stick - rub it on stains and it stops them setting up to 7 days, so you don't ruin anything.
Ask if your bub will be medium, large or small. Pip was 8lb4oz and was still in 0000s - bonds are small sizes, sprout (myer) are larger sizes. Long sleeves as they can't regulate temps yet. Don't forget a beanie! Mittens for bub too (so they don't scratch face).
battery charger for mobile, list of telephone numbers.
I laboured in a sarong and crop top
Trackie pants for wandering around the hossie in (so you get out of jammies and start to feel normal again!)

yeh i do know i gotta bring my pillow, dont leave home without it..and i did read soft loo paper..have got snacks and the local safeway is literally a stones throw from hossy so hubby says he will do the daily run for supplies..
the midwife told us to pack his 1st outfit with a hat n bibs n booties n singlet in a plastic bag to go on top of our big back so he can change in to it straight away.i will pack a seperate bag for labour with cds,n general crap ill take into labour..
OMG, no one ever told me about URAL and i was stinging like nuts the entire time in hospital to the point i was too sacred to wee ... what a relief that stuff is ... it would be number #1 on my list for anyone
... A bag of boiled lollies like barley-sugar, i was surprised how sore my throat was & also from dehydration (you get bored with drinking water all the time).
I wore P'J's the entire time & so was every other Mum in hosp. Find out if the rooms are hot as i roasted in my P'J's ... and thankfully had one nice thin fabric nightie that poor DP kept having to wash for me.
I suggest a large loose T.Shirt for labour & birth that just covers your bottom than a choice of a T.Shirt nightie. I wore an old T.Shirt nightie and it was that bit too long and i just didn't have the energy to keep lifting it, especially when i was sitting on the loo in the hosp during labour. Can you wear one of your partners old big T.Shirts ??
A bag of gold coins if you want to buy from a vending machine.
A wrist watch ... you may not feeling like wearing it but pop it in on a bedside table in the hosp, you will be needing to know the time for the breast-feeding chart, etc ...
I wish you all the very best & don't worry as your partner can always go home to get things for you
Can I also suggest a mug of your choice because hossy mugs/styrophome is awful to drink out of
and a small jar/packet of you favourite hot drink (tea/coffee/milo etc). Bit more comforting than the awful provided stuff.
