Just over 38 weeks and have had an annoying and uncomfortable pain for the last 2 days. Over the past week I've had increasing BH contractions and lower back pain which of course is all just part of the last few weeks of pregnancy.
Since yesterday though I have had a different pain across the top of my bump. The only way I can describe it is that I feel bruised. I am aware of it being there all the time but it is sore to touch. I've been rubbing it to try and make it go away but it is more uncomfortable when I am touching/rubbing it.
Could is be muscular? It went away during the night and I woke up feeling fine, then I've been having BH contractions throughout the day and the pain has returned.
Go and get checked out. I have a friend who had a similar pain. Her baby was born okay, but they found a massive blood clot in her placenta which could have caused serious issues. I don't necessarily think that this is what is going on for you but pain usually indicates something and you don't want to be taking risks. It may just be muscular but better to be safe. Go and get checked out.
Thanks for the replies, the pain isn't there as much today, I haven't had many BH today either. Yesterday it was sore but I had a lot of BH contractions. I am assuming it is a muscle that is sore but I think you're right, I will get it checked out anyway!
Hey SiarasMummy, we have missed hanging out in the belly buddies thread... looks like we are nearly there though, not long to go, I had that pain too but i think its just sore muscles and body getting ready...
