longest 8 weeks of my life - long.

Does anyone else get upset and frustrated knowing that the end is in sight but its still a long way to go?

I have finished up at my job am still; doing 1 day a week at a temp job to keep some income in and that is just doing reception so its very easy.

I just feel now that i have got everything done, now im just waiting for the end to meet my gorgeous little man, and it just makes me annoyed and down that i feel like its going to go so slow as im not working now and just basically sitting around home cleaning and resting and watching the clock!

My twin sister came early, at 34 weeks and my mum seems to think i will come early also as she said im very tight through the stomach and i have been leaking watery fluid like both my mum and sister did and they went into labour a few weeks after that happened. But i hate getting my hopes up and listening to people say stuff as it gets me excited, but i know ill be pretty upset when and if nothing happens as im sure alot of women get alot of symptoms and still carry full term or even go overdue!

I know i should just enjoy being pregnant as ill look back and think WOW that went quick...but im just so ready to meet my little man like im sure you all know the feeling.

Sorry about my rant...just in one of my moods i think!

Also, some of you ladies might experience this or know why this hurts? Yesterday during the day i was working and all of a sudden i felt alot of pressure between my legs and pains through my back. I dont know if bubs moved down lower, but during work (im on feet all day) i struggled very bad to walk as there was so much pressure down there that it was quiet painful. I got home and sat down and it still did not go away and actually got worse through the night where i was going to cry if it got anymore worse. I just figured it was all normal pregnancy stuff so did not want to call the hospital.
I still have the pressure there today but have been sitting down alot so its not as bad as yesterday. All i could think was that bubs has moved down quiet low or become engaged possibly therefore creating more pressure? When he moves his head or his limbs, it actually hurts as creates a pain through my lower area.

    Anyone else get this?

Summer I can relate to both of those things. I feel like I am almost ready to pop but then realise I could go another 10 or so weeks its depressing. I am almost finished work but feel really ready to. My lower back nd groin are killing me and I'm leaking clear fluid too. I went to the physio and apparently it is the ligaments stretching and the extra weight in my hips. Good to hear someone else is feeling the same way.

I know Mrs Hendo! Dont you wonder how you could possibly get any bigger and fatter!
Thats good to you someone else feels the same way and its all normal like i thought - though quiet painful! Im not the sit at home and lounge around type either - i need to be doing something, cleaning, working and feeling useful, not useless.
I thought i would keep going for a bit longer at work, but nope after yesterday i had to finish up, it was extremly painful to keep going on. But i am going to keep working on reception until i have the little man as its such an easy job...though i do get quiet sore sitting down as everything is cramped up - but i can walk around and take regular breaks.

Finish up work now if your not comfortable - your comfort and bubs comes first!

I am SO with you girls! This pregnancy has been much harder than my 1st and I am in constant hip pain, with heartburn so bad I think labour is easier some time!

For some reason I have always been really frightened about still birth and just wish away the days till I have my baby safe in my arms!

Hang in there Summer and try to remember that the longer bubs stay put the better for them really even though, like me, you can't help wishing they would come a little early!

I hear you - looking ahead, it feels like it's going to take forever to happen. But then one day you'll look around and go "OMG, where did the weeks go..." At least this is what happens to me
And bubs are still doing so much developing & growing in there, and inside is the safest place for them for a few more weeks.

with first bub i finished 4 weeks early, turned into 5 'cause he was late, and I was bored out of my brains, but not in any pain or discomfort, so I cant empathise with you there, but i did find myself really missing the pregnant phase after he arrived, and wished i had of been more positive about the waiting time.

This time I finished work with 2 weeks until due date, I am now over that 2 weeks, and am more uncomfortable than last time, yet am trying to make the most of this, even though my brain is saying hurry up baby.

Re the extreem pain, it does sound like bubs has moved down, and this could indicate an early labor, but bubs could still move back up and give you some relief.

just don't wish the preganancy to be over too soon, it's an amazing experience and there are some that never get to have it.
